The Magram clan is one of the five centaur clans of Kalimdor, they have made their home in the southeastern parts of Desolace. Their founding leader was Khan Magra, third of the alleged offspring of Zaetar and Theradras. Once mortal enemies of the Gelkis clan under Khan Jehn's leadership, the Magram were willing to befriend adventurers in exchange for doing evil acts towards their brother clan. Following the Cataclysm, the clan lost their home to the Burning Blade clan and their demonic masters of the Burning Legion. Under the lead of a new leader, Khan Kammah, the Magram clan allied themselves with the Gelkis and Kolkar clans to take their revenge, recovering their territories and ending the corruption spreading in Desolace.
History
World of Warcraft
Four years after the Third War, Warchief Thrall tasked Horde adventurers to handle the centaur threat in Desolace. They quickly discovered that the centaur were slaughtering each other just as much as they were attacking outsiders. When they investigated further, they met Warug of the Magram clan, who told them of Theradras' recent actions and that Desolace had been corrupted. The Horde allied with the Magram—who held no loyalty to Theradras, unlike the other clans—and helped them suppress the other tribes in Desolace:[1] the Kolkar,[2] Gelkis,[3] and Maraudine.[4] The adventurers then entered Maraudon and defeated Theradras, ending the spreading corruption in Desolace and easing the centaur's violent bloodlust. With the Horde's blessing, Warug and the Magram became the rulers of the united centaur and led them to an age of tranquility. Yet none knew how long they would stay on the path of peace.[1]
Bloodsworn
In the wake of the Cataclysm, Maraudon saw the emergence of a powerful earth elemental who held Azeroth's mortal races responsible for the Cataclysm. He created a new, "pure" race of centaur called the perfect ones, free of the flaws of the "older breed", who would spread over the world and reclaim it from those who had "defiled" it. Their leader, the High Khan Aratas, united the Kolkar, Magram, Maraudine, Gelkis, and Galak tribes into a massive army in Desolace with the promise that he would usher in a new age in which the centaur would claim the lands that were rightfully theirs from the "mongrel" races and reign over Azeroth. In retaliation to their attacks, the Horde sent its newly-formed Garad'kra militia to counter the threat in Maraudon, where they defeated the perfect ones, and killed Aratas and his father, giving the Horde enough time to move their forces into position and break up the centaur army.[5]
Cataclysm
After the Cataclysm, the Burning Blade cult and their demon masters pushed the Magram clan out of their home in Desolace and renamed it Shok'Thokar. The Magram, in turn, defeated the Kolkar clan and took over their lands.[6] The new leader of the Magram clan, Khan Kammah, was later encountered by the adventurers sent by Khan Leh'Prah after they killed enough of his warriors to force him to emerge.[7] Although he was well aware of the threat posed by the Burning Blade, Kammah was initially reluctant to ally with Leh'Prah Kolkar clan against the cult. However, he eventually agreed to lend his forces to the fight after the adventurers helped feed his starving clan.[8]
Through negotiation and shows of force, adventurers ultimately convinced Khan Kammah of the Magram[9] and Khan Shodo of the Gelkis[10] to join forces with Leh'Prah and the Kolkar against their common enemy. Together, the three clans attacked the Burning Blade at Shok'Thokar,[11] and the three khans killed the pit lord Agogridon. In the aftermath, Leh'Prah, Kammah, Shodo, and their clans took up residence in the reclaimed Shok'Thokar as united "sons of Cenarion".[12][13][14]
Before the Storm
Following the Argus Campaign, Magni Bronzebeard traveled to Desolace to warn the centaur clans about the world-soul's distress and the emergence of Azerite.[15]

Faction description
These centaur have made their home in the eastern region of Desolace. Mortal enemies of the Gelkis Centaur.
Gaining reputation
Reputation with the Magram Clan Centaur is gained by killing hostile mobs at Shok'Thokar and by completing the quest [10-30] Death to Agogridon, with the latter granting enough reputation to reach Exalted ranking with the faction.
Should the player have already finished the quest before Patch 8.0.1, they can speak to Karnum Marshweaver at Karnum's Glade to receive the reputation reward.
Old reputation
Magram vs. Gelkis
The clashing cultural values of the Magram and Gelkis are the founding reason for their animosity towards one another, and it has only spiraled downwards since their initial disagreement. While the Magram only respect strength, the Gelkis respect nature and their birthmother Theradras, calling upon her protection and the power of earth to maintain their existence. The Magram view this as weak however, especially their trust in Theradras to protect the centaur tribes.
The Magram representative Warug, stationed at the base of the mountains on the eastern borders of Magram territory, recruits foreign aid to strike against the Gelkis and organizes strategic missions to weaken them. In order to be deemed worthy of fighting with the Magram, adventurers must gain reputation with the tribe by slaying members of the Gelkis until they reach Friendly status with the Magram. Each kill gives 20 reputation to the Magram faction and lowers the reputation of the Gelkis by 100. Reputation with the Magram from kills caps at 11999/12000 Honored, or one point below Revered. Reputation can be gained past this point by completing Magram quests.
Warug also sends foreign assistance to combat the Kolkar and Maraudine clans.
In earlier builds, a player could become friendly or higher with both Centaur clans at the same time, by having someone else in a party kill a member of the Gelkis or Magram, which would cause the player to gain reputation with one Centaur clan, while not losing reputation with the other. As of patch 2.2 the player will gain and lose reputation regardless of who in the party actually does the killing.

In the RPG
The Magram and the Gelkis are the most open to discussion with outsiders. In typical centaur fashion, they blame each other for everything, and their entire society is based on the ongoing war with the opposing tribe — and to a lesser extent, all other tribes. They have a new advantage in this civil war, however — they have begun to study necromancy and now control small numbers of undead. Since the Magram side with the undead, that makes both the Alliance and the Horde potential allies of the Gelkis.[16]
Many believe that the Valley of Bones is cursed, and as such almost all of the centaur clans avoid it. The valley's floor is littered with what is believed to be bones of the Old Gods, presided over by Magram centaur necromancers and skeletons. It is also rumored that a sect from Thunder Axe Fortress is allied with the Magram centaur against the Gelkis.[17]
Notes
- They are named after their first khan, Magra.
- Majority of the Magram centaur fashion light green-colored armor. They also tend to be yellow-skinned.
- Like the Kolkar clan, the Magram once domesticated hyenas and used them for scouting purposes around their village.
- Unlike the Gelkis clan who end up becoming friendly by the time you unite the three clans, the Magram stay hostile.
