Thunderlord Stronghold is a Horde town in the Blade's Edge Mountains. It was the stronghold of the Thunderlord clan until they were transformed into fel orcs, after which it was abandoned.[1] Sometime later the Bladespire clan of ogres took over the ruins, but were driven out by the Horde expeditionary forces who now hold it in honor of the original clan. After the opening of the Dark Portal, Rexxar traveled here in search of his own race.

An old orc town hall sits at the center of the stronghold, which is protected by walls and several Mag'har watch towers. The Azerothian orcs brought with them a large pack of dire wolves, which settled down at Jagged Ridge under the leadership of den mother Rema.[2][3][4]
