Gronnlings are adolescent gronn.[1] Once "befriended", a gronnling will happily carry its rider to their death.[2] Gronnling scales are more like stones than true scales, as the brutes themselves seem to be part stone.[3] Alchemists have been known to show an interest in digging up gronnling bones for research purposes.[4]

Notable

As a mount

Main article: Humanoid mounts

Arena mounts

As a companion pet

Main article: Tylarr Gronnden

[Tylarr Gronnden] can be purchased from Alliance Quackenbush <Bizmo's Brawlpub Quartermaster> / Horde Paul North <Brawl'gar Arena Quartermaster> at a cost of 500g upon reaching Rank 3 with the Brawler's Guild.

Notes

  • They are referred to as "beasts" on numerous occasions,[5] and thus might not be as intelligent as adult gronns.
  • One gronnling, Terrorfist, is the offspring of a magnaron (Kormrok) rather than a gronn.
  • During the beta and early days of the Warlords of Draenor, gronnlings were often incoherently classified as either giants, beasts, or humanoids.
