Camp Winterhoof is a taunka village located at the northern edge of Howling Fjord, west of Fort Wildervar, and which sits on the edge of the mountain Gjalerhorn's eastern slope. It is where Chieftain Ashtotem and his taunka reside.
The camp has bright totem poles and rounded houses—good for shedding snow—built around hot springs that bubble up from the mountain. They planned on evacuating during the events of the war against the Lich King, though whether they did or did not is unknown; as they were still actively living in the same spot years later.
After the war against the Jailer, the brothers Bronzebeards came to their gates to make an offer of friendship, and while they weren't hostile, they didn't appear overly motivated to invite the dwarves in either; as they remain loyal to the Horde.[1]
