History

WoW Icon update.png This section concerns content related to the original World of Warcraft.

In his younger days, Elder Torntusk was amongst the forest trolls that joined the Old Horde and fought in the Second War. He was stationed at Skull Rock within the Hinterlands before the Horde was driven from the area by the Alliance of Lordaeron.[1] In the aftermath of the war, the Revantusk was the only known forest troll tribe to still feel some loyalty to the Horde, which made them a target from the other forest trolls. Eventually, the Revantusk tribe relocated to the coast of the Hinterlands, where they hoped to avoid further notice, and established Revantusk Village. After the Third War, Torntusk and the Revantusk learned that Thrall had revitalized the Horde and entered into a pact of friendship and mutual assistance with them.[2] At an unknown point either during or after these events, he became mates with Primal Torntusk.

At some point, Elder Torntusk was taken prisoner by the Vilebranch tribe after they launched a bold midnight raid on Revantusk village. Imprisoned within Jintha'alor, Vile Priestess Hexx sought to sacrifice him to the faceless Blood God, Hakkar the Soulflayer.[3] However before this dark act could be carried out, she was slain and Torntusk was liberated by the Horde adventurers after they killed Hitah'ya the Keeper and secured the key she had. Following his liberation, he returned to his mate and tribe.[4]

Cataclysm

Cataclysm This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

In the wake of the Cataclysm, the Revantusk openly supported the Horde as they battled the other forest troll tribes in the region and the Wildhammer dwarves in an effort to claim the Hinterlands for themselves and the Horde. From Revantusk Village, Elder Torntusk directed Horde adventurers to join the war effort against the Wildhammer and reclaim lost supplies at Skull Rock.[5]

He later directed them to aid his mate, who sought to take Jintha'alor from the Vilebranch tribe.[6] After a series of clashes, Primal Torntusk successfully claimed Jintha'alor for the Revantusk and the Horde.[7]

We are proud to call ourselves the last tribe of Forest Trolls to serve the Horde.
