Missions
Cataclysm
Azshara
By the time of the Cataclysm, the elite squadron was first seen wandering around the Bilgewater Harbor, apparently off duty. They were called out when the Bilgewater Battalion kept the Spitelash naga distracted at the Shattered Strand.[1] The Mergers and Acquisitions have set up a small camp in the Ruins of Eldarath for the Gob Squad to land and deal with naga threat is Azshara. Together, they assaulted the ruins with all their weapons to decimate the naga,[2] and later claimed the
[Heart of Arkkoroc] which they took back to Uncle Bedlam, who intended to sell it to a group at the Secret Lab.[3] They also killed the naga leaders Lord Kassarus and High Priestess Silthera,[4] recovered some Highborne tablets,[5] and destroyed three Spitelash runestones.[6]
Twilight Highlands
After their success in Azshara, the squad was sent to the Twilight Highlands, where their first assignment was to deal with the Alliance at Highbank.[7] They attacked the harbor's defenses[8][9] and caused some damage using explosives,[10] and then recovered the Induction Samophlange which was gathered for them in Azshara.[11] They eventually escaped on some gyrocopters tethered at the top of the tower by Newt.[12] They were later sent to Dragonmaw Pass,[13] where they ambushed the Twilight's Hammer[14] and obtained the a stone to open the gate and move to Wyrms' Bend.[15] From there, they closed the Dragonmaw Gate to prevent Twilight reinforcements from coming in.[16]
Mists of Pandaria
Prior to the Siege of Orgrimmar, as citizens of Durotar continued to go missing, the Gob Squad was sent to Ragefire Chasm to locate them. What they discovered was Kor'kron doing suspicious activity, under the command of Overseer Elaglo and Dark Shaman Xorenth, and attacking any who discovered them. With the help of brave heroes, they were able to defeat the Kor'kron and escape to inform Vol'jin of what they found.[17]

During the Fourth War, the Gob Squad was sent on Zandalar to aid Rokhan in the fight against G'huun and the blood trolls in Nazmir.[18] When they first arrived they came under attack by the Vilescale naga and a sea giant.[19] All the team members were eventually captured, except for their leader Patch who tasked the Horde adventurer to rescue his comrades.[20] Once reunited, the team tasked the heroes to kill the naga leader Lord Slithin,[21] to recover ancient titan relics at the Sundered Span,[22] and to repair their mech, known as the A.F.M.O.D., which was damaged in their landing.[23] Their repaired mech was later used to clear out the naga forces,[24] and then attack Grand Ma'da Ateena and the reawakened Taloc at Zul'Nazman, causing it to fall deep within the depths of Uldir.[25]
The War Within
Following the destruction of Dalaran, Volt accompanied the Horde forces that traveled to the Isle of Dorn to aid in the war against Xal'atath.[26] He could be found training the earthen to shoot with crossbows at the landing site.
