The Blood Oath of the Horde is a sacred oath traditionally sworn by all new members of the Horde.[1] It binds its warriors to the warchief, but more importantly, it binds them all together to the Horde.[2]
One of the blood oaths of the Horde is the right to retribution.[1]
During events in the Dragonblight, adventurers use the oath induct the taunka refugees at Westwind Rest[1] and, later, the taunka's high chieftain Roanauk Icemist into the Horde.[3]
New members of the Garad'kra militia swear the blood oath during their initiation ceremony.[4]

Lok'tar ogar! Victory or death - it is these words that bind me to the Horde. For they are the most sacred and fundamental of truths to any warrior of the Horde.
I give my flesh and blood freely to the Warchief. I am the instrument of my Warchief's desire. I am a weapon of my Warchief's command.
From this moment until the end of days I live and die - For the Horde!
Notes
- After Vol'jin survived the attempt on his life by the agents of Garrosh Hellscream, he asked Horde adventurers to swear a blood oath with him.[5] Unlike the Blood Oath of the Horde, this oath was a personal one. Although he had sworn to follow the Horde, Vol'jin no longer recognized Garrosh's legitimacy as warchief, and asked adventurers to do the same.[2]
