The Boulderslide are a group of kobolds found at the Boulderslide Cavern in the Stonetalon Mountains. They were subjugated by the Horde. Before the Cataclysm, this group of kobolds was called the Goggers and served the earthen Goggeroc instead.
History
World of Warcraft
In the year 25 ADP, the Gogger kobolds were frantically mining a rare crystal called Resonite in the Boulderslide Cavern. Sensing something was amiss, the tauren shaman Mor'rogal sought out adventurers to bring back some ore samples so that he could understand what was happening. The collected crystals had a trace of earthen magic, from which the shaman deduced that the kobolds had dug deep, uncovering an earthen.[1]
Residing within a Resonite Cask was the slumbering earthen by the name of Goggeroc. Mor'rogal changed the mixture of the Resonite crystals gathered with his shamanistic powers and directed adventurers to take the crystals and smash open the casket. When awakened, Goggeroc would be weakened, which would make it easy for adventurers to slay him.[2]
Cataclysm
By the time of the Cataclysm, Goggeroc having been defeated by then, the kobolds were now known as the Boulderslide. They were attacked by Alliance adventurers, sent by "Cookie" McWeaksauce, who wanted to collect their cheese as a peace offering to the tauren Grimtotem tribe.[3]
In response to the cooperation between the Alliance and the Grimtotem, Subjugator Devo had Horde adventurers go to Boulderslide Cavern and use his whip to subdue the kobolds there till they had amassed a sizable army.[4] At the same time, Witch Doctor Jin'Zil needed Resonite crystals from the cave to use for a voodoo ritual.[5]
The kobold army was subsequently used to launch a massive assault against the Alliance-Grimtotem forces at the Unearthed Grounds and ultimately win.[6]
