The Kargath Expeditionary Force (K.E.F.) is a military exploration group originally based out of the outpost of Kargath in the Badlands of Khaz Modan. It was named in honor of the great Horde warrior, Kargath Bladefist.

History

This section concerns content related to the original World of Warcraft.

Sent by order of Thrall himself — both to reinforce Kargath and to explore the arid region it was located in — the K.E.F. has made excursions through the region, including into the depths of Uldaman, to discover why it was of more than a passing interest to the dwarves. They also dug a pass through to the Searing Gorge to reach Blackrock Mountain (the intent being to confront the false Warchief Rend Blackhand) but inadvertently set loose the Dark Iron dwarves.

Warlord Goretooth used to send adventurers to annihilate General Angerforge's men because they are ruthless killers, responsible for the mass murder of the 109th Division of the Kargath Expeditionary Force, consisting of orcs and trolls.

The K.E.F. also hired the goblin Bijou.

This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

However when Kargath was destroyed by the Cataclysm the group disbanded, or least no longer had any official orders and had no reason to continue the group. Some members became mercenaries forming the group known as the Bad Dogs, while others continued to follow Goretooth. They met up back in Blackrock Depths to kill Emperor Dagran Thaurissan, High Executioner Nuzrak started reforming the K.E.F. and officially came back to business.

Their newest motto is "First in, last out, always victorious. Remember always Kargath."
