The Krom'gar[1][2] are the Horde forces in Stonetalon Mountains, named after and led by Overlord Krom'gar. They are based in Krom'gar Fortress.
History
Adventurers who arrive in Stonetalon become members of the Krom'gar army, starting out as Krom'gar Grunts. As the storyline progresses, they advance through the ranks, being promoted to Sergeants, Legionnaires, Champions and eventually Generals. With each new rank, new items become available for purchase from the Krom'gar Quartermaster.
Following Overlord Krom'gar's decision to annihilate Thal'darah Grove with The Bomb, Warchief Hellscream arrives through a portal from Orgrimmar. He grabs Krom'gar by the throat, relieves him from his duty and drops him off the edge of Cliffwalker Post to his death. He then declares that Krom'gar's army is no more and that the adventurer's rank no longer holds meaning.[3]
At some point, Aramar Thorne, Taryndrella, and Galena Stormspear sneaked past Krom'gar tauren in order to get to the Northwatch Expedition Base Camp.[2]
