The Slingtail tribe are a tribe of hozen located in the Jade Forest. Along with the Grookin tribe, they are a part of the Forest Hozen.
History
After a fierce battle at Moonwater Retreat, the forest hozen emerged victorious and claimed the village as their own.[1]
After the Vanguard crash-landed in the Jade Forest, the Slingtail hozen scavenged the ship until they were stopped by Alliance champions upon their arrival in Pandaria.[2] Prior to this, the Slingtail had taken Pearlfin jinyu and Alliance soldiers, including Admiral Taylor, prisoner in the Slingtail Pits.[3] To ensure their escape, Bold Karasshi called for the hozen to be slain[4] and the prisoners freed.[5]
Following the death of Kung Din, Karasshi led the jinyu and Alliance forces away from the Slingtail Pits to the safety of Pearlfin Village.[6] As the Alliance worked to sway the jinyu to their side, Alliance champions clashed with the hozen at Moonwater Retreat in order to recover jinyu ceremonial instruments[7] and heirlooms from the fallen.[8]
After Chief Kah Kah aligned the Grookin hozen with the Horde,[9] the Slingtail followed suit. With Grookin reinforcements, Chief Gukgut of the Slingtail led the forest hozen into battle against the Pearlfin tribe. In response, the Alliance struck against the hozen, killed the Slingtail chief—sending the Slingtail into disarray—and seized control of the Slingtail Pits.[10][11]
