History

Cataclysm

Bloodhilt in Cataclysm.

Following the Cataclysm, Bloodhilt was personally tasked by Warchief Garrosh Hellscream to evaluate the Horde's progress in the Southern Barrens.[1] There, Bloodhilt was appalled that the Alliance were able to capture Honor's Stand and sack Camp Taurajo, while Warlord Gar'dul was in charge of the forces in the area. When Horde adventurers encountered him in Vendetta Point, he ordered them to destroy the siege weapons outside of the Great Gate[2] and kill the Alliance looters in the Ruins of Taurajo.[3] Impressed by the adventurer's strength, Bloodhilt tasked them and his vanguard to inform Gar'dul that he was coming to Desolation Hold.[4]

Learning of Bloodhilt's arrival, a nervous Gar'dul was able to arrange for a private meeting in the northern tower of the hold, where they had a short discussion about the situation. Gar'dul claimed that he had been reinforcing the Horde's grip in the Southern Barrens, while Bloodhilt correctly pointed out that it was the adventurer who did it. Nonetheless, Gar'dul mentioned that the Alliance had gained reinforcements from the Eastern Kingdoms and that he had been cut off, only to be interrupted by Bloodhilt who relieved him of command. Enraged, Gar'dul refused and attacked the duo, yielding when beaten. Bloodhilt, enraged that Gar'dul yielded, asked him what part of "Victory or Death" did he not understand before throwing him out of the tower window to his death.[5]

Warlord Bloodhilt then assumed command of Desolation Hold and sent adventurers to claim the battlefield.[6][7] He also ordered the assassination of the Butcher of Taurajo, General Hawthorne.[8]

Mists of Pandaria

After the rediscovery of Pandaria, Warlord Bloodhilt left Desolation Hold when the Horde headed for Krasarang Wilds. He was put in charge of the Dominance Offensive by Warchief Garrosh and controlled his forces from Domination Point, where he could be found at the top of the main building. Bloodhilt was also tasked to keep a close eye on the goblin and blood elf reinforcements, as Hellscream distrusted their leaders; a feeling Bloodhilt shared towards these two races.[9]

During the Domination Point scenario, the Alliance's 7th Legion attacked the base and Bloodhilt. Nazgrim and what remained of his vanguard team, alongside the Horde adventurers, successfully repelled the Alliance invasion. In the aftermath, Bloodhilt's forces also attacked Lion's Landing.

Later on, Wrathion tasked Alliance heroes to kill Bloodhilt, testing their abilities.[10] He was then replaced as Warlord of Desolation Hold by Crawgol.[11]

Gossip

Vendetta Point, Southern Barrens

Make this quick, <class>. The Warchief personally sent me to evaluate our progress in the Barrens, and when I get here I found our towns aflame and Alliance dogs running amok.

Desolation Hold, initial

Now - the business of winning this war!

Across the scarred terrain to the east, the Alliance hopes to build an overland link between their coastal strongholds. They think to build a fortress here, in the center of the Barrens. In the center of MY Barrens.

It will not stand.

Desolation Hold, later

I will not rest, <name>. Not until they are driven back to the sea.

Domination Point

If the Alliance thinks a few reinforcements are all it takes to conquer MY fortress, they've got another thing coming!
