The Thunderlord clan is an orc clan that once lived in Frostfire Ridge in alternate Draenor. The clan is known for their excellent hunters, who are specialized in hunting down (and even taming) rylaks and other beasts, and even gronn and magnaron. They have since joined the Mag'har Clans and pledged their loyalty to the Horde after their arrival on Azeroth.
History
The Thunderlords are the greatest big game hunters in all of Draenor. For centuries they have used riding beasts and coordinated assaults to slay game and gronn alike. Their clan draws their name from an ancient chieftain who single-handedly slew a powerful gronn at the pinnacle of Thunder Peak.[2]
It is rumored that the last of Draenor's colossals was taken down by the Thunderlord clan generations ago, and that the clan built their home in its corpse.[3] Similar skeletons can be found at Colossal's Fall and Agurak's Fall. The Thunderlord regard Colossal's Fall as a sacred location, claiming it was their clan who felled that Colossal many decades ago.[4]
In ancient times the Thunderlords were enslaved by the ogres of Frostfire. During this time of enslavement, the Thunderlords would come to revere a warrior named Brakor as a hero. At an unknown point in history, the Thunderlords successfully rebelled against their ogre masters and secured their freedom.
Warlords of Draenor
The Thunderlords answered the call for orcish unity joined the Iron Horde, where they supplied their allies with beasts such as rylak and gronn.
After the fall of the Bladespire citadel, the clan besieged Wor'gol, the Frostwolves' home, but were pushed back by the Frostwolves and their new allies in the Horde. Following the assault on Wor'gol Ga'nar's sought justice for his dead clansmen. To that end he rallied his forces and ensured the sons of the Iron Wolf (Hatock, Grotan and Skal) were killed.[5][6]
Despite the setback at Wor'gol, the Thunderlords continued their offensive against the Frostwolves by striking at Stonefang Outpost. Though the underestimating village's resilience,.[7] the Thunderlords were able to take many of the villagers prisoner where they placed them in the Boneslag.[8] However Karg Bloodfury was transported to Grom'gar, which turned out to be an error when he was liberated and struck back at the Thunderlords.[9]
Seeking to put an end to the Thunderlords the Frostwolf clan and the Horde would move in and strike at their leader, the Iron Wolf. To the shock of the Frostwolf clan the Iron Wolf turned out to be Fenris Wolfbrother Durotan's and Ga'nar's older brother. Refusing to surrender Fenris engaged his enemies in a fierce fight and was ultimately slain. After Fenris's death, the Thunderlord clan backed by the Iron Horde attempted to breach the Thunder Pass. However, the Frostwolf clan awaited and stopped their progression. In the ensuring battle the Thunderlords and their allies would be defeated, with Malgrim Stormhand killed and the closing of the pass by Drek'Thar of the Frostwolf clan.[10]
With the deaths of Fenris, his sons, and his second in command it was unknown who, if anyone, led the Thunderlord clan for the duration of the War in Draenor.
Despite their loses in Frostfire Ridge the Thunderlords remained a committed part of the Iron Horde. They were personally responsible for the captured of the saberon Oshir[11] and were tasked with breaking and training beasts for the Iron Horde within the Iron Docks. They were responsible for breaking the gronn Durn the Hungerer, who was subsequently tasked with protecting Garrosh Hellscream.
After Gul'dan's defeat, it is assumed the Thunderlord join the rest of Draenor in recovery.
Battle for Azeroth
In time, the Thunderlord clan joined with the other Mag'har orc clans under the command of Warchief Grommash Hellscream.[12] As the Mag'har and Lightbound clashed, events on Azeroth would see to a new war between the Horde and the Alliance. In the midst of this, Eitrigg sought to travel to the alternate Draenor and call upon the debt the Mag'har owed to the Horde for liberating them from Garrosh Hellscream's meddling and the Burning Legion's corruption.[13]
As the entire Lightbound army was marching towards the Mag'har, Grommash ordered the Mag'har to follow Geya'rah and fall back to Azeroth. Thus, when Warchief Hellscream and Lantresor of the Blade charged at the Lightbound, Eitrigg activated the shard of the 
[Vision of Time] in his possession in order to return to Azeroth with his new allies.[14] After their arrival on Azeroth, Overlord Geya'rah took her place as leader of the Mag'har and pledged the loyalty of her people to Warchief Sylvanas Windrunner and the Horde.[15]
Heartlands
Amid the armistice at the end of the Fourth War, Overlord Geya'rah and the Mag'har Clans were granted Hammerfall as a place for their people to make a fresh start on Azeroth.[16]
Culture
The Thunderlords migrate every season,[17] much like how the Frostwolf clan migrate between Frostfire and Nagrand. They accept orcs not born into their clan and allow these outsiders to fight alongside them and earn their place,[18] even to the point of having been led by one born of the Frostwolf clan.[1]
Their fiercest warriors are their clefthoof-riders.[19]
They are rumored to use strange weapons called "blades of omen" that can change size.[20]
