Great Glorious Alliance

The Great Glorious Alliance is an alternate version of the Alliance from the Warlands, a timeline in which there was never peace between the Horde and Alliance, led by High King Varian Wrynn.

The Great Glorious Alliance presumably had a similar history to the Alliance, in which they fought two wars against the Horde before defeating them and placing them into the Internment camps. However, the aftermath left fractures within the Alliance as many found the peace to be miserable and loathsome and felt that the orcs should have just been executed. In time, the Scourge invaded Azeroth and the Alliance forces were able to defeat them at Dalaran, while the camps fell and the Blood Horde made the exodus to Kalimdor. When most of the Alliance leadership decided to make peace with the Blood Horde, the Alliance erupted into civil war and the warmongers emerged victorious, renamed themselves the Great Glorious Alliance, and declared war upon the Blood Horde.[1] Over the course of the war, the Great Glorious Alliance turned the Blood Horde's holdings into a desiccated wasteland.[2]

Members of the Great Glorious Alliance were one of many forces that invaded Azeroth through the Time Rifts and a Fractured Causality assumes the form of High King Varian Wrynn.
