Warlands
The Warlands are an alternate universe of Azeroth, visited during the Time Rifts. The Warlands are in a time of a never-ending battle between Horde and Alliance, now named Blood Horde and Great Glorious Alliance.
The Varian Wrynn encounter takes place on gunships of these factions. After the encounter, an [Oil-Soaked Log Book] shows up inside the cabin of the Alliance gunship, presenting the Great Glorious Alliance's side of the endless conflict.
History
After the Alliance defeated the Undead Scourge at Dalaran, it fell into a civil war about how to treat the fleeing orcs. The hardliners won and pursued the Horde to Kalimdor, where they immediately resumed conflict.[1] Without an occasion for the two to come together, the two warring factions eventually ripped the planet apart with their ceaseless conflict,[2] transforming it into a post-apocalyptic wasteland.[3]
The Warlands are poisonous and desiccated, with people on the ground requiring gas masks to survive while airships are used to float over the pollution and toxic fumes.[4] According to Ankura Bloodhewer's title, one of the Warlands area would be the Toxic Wastes.

- Although hard to see, the airships are located off the coast of Zuldazar.
- The two factions seem stuck as they were right before the events of the Third War. The Blood Horde never befriended the tauren, and the Great Glorious Alliance never bonded with the kaldorei.
