The 7th Fleet[1] (or the Seventh Fleet)[2][3] is one of the Alliance fleets belonging to the 7th Legion.[4]
History
Tides of War
In Year 30 ADP, the 7th Fleet was sent by King Varian Wrynn to defend Theramore Isle against the Horde.[5][6][7] Its flagship was the Spirit of Tiffin and it bore General Marcus Jonathan, Shandris Feathermoon and her Sentinels and General Tiras'alan.
After the destruction of Theramore, Varian ordered the fleet rebuilt.[8] New ships, blessed by the Light and referred only as the Alliance fleet, attacked the Horde near Durotar only to be almost defeated by enslaved kraken. With the arrival of Jaina Proudmoore and Kalecgos, the fleet was saved and retreated to the Merchant Coast.[9] As it threatened to destroy the Horde blockade, Warchief Garrosh Hellscream ultimately pulled the Horde fleet back.
Mists of Pandaria
The 7th Fleet was later dispatched to find the missing Prince Anduin Wrynn in Pandaria,[10] and participated in Operation: Shieldwall as the main battle force there.[11]
Warlords of Draenor
During the Iron March in 31 ADP, the fleet's cannons were used by the Stormwind forces in the counterattack against the Iron Horde in the Blasted Lands.[12]
Battle for Azeroth
At the beginning of the Fourth War in 33 ADP, the 7th Legion sent a fleet to apprehend Princess Talanji after she broke out of the Stockade of Stormwind City. Only a single ship escaped the attack of the Golden Fleet,[13] while the shipwrecked survivors constructed a base near their landing site in Zuldazar.[14][15]

Trivia
- Unused unit IDs from Warlords of Draenor[16][17] suggest that they were originally planned to have a larger presence, likely in the Blasted Lands as their cannons are there.
- Shatterstone Harbor was called "7th Fleet Landing" in the Battle for Azeroth alpha.

The 7th Fleet may possibly be the Alliance fleet that participated in the liberation of Gilneas City.[18]
