North Fleet
The North Fleet is a large Stormwindian[1] fleet sent to the Howling Fjord. Most of its ships have been sunk by the Horde, forcing the survivors to barricade themselves at the Derelict Strand.
During the war against the Lich King in 27 ADP, a brutal confrontation happened between the Hand of Vengeance forces and the North Fleet in the Bleeding Vale, which ended in favor of the Forsaken. After the battle, High Executor Anselm tasked Horde adventurers to burn the corpses across the battlefield, preventing the Scourge from raising them into undeath.[1] While the easternmost fleet was destroyed, the survivors barricaded themselves at the Derelict Strand, from where they managed to stand their ground.[2]
Despite being hungry, injured, and ill-equipped, the North Fleet crews were able to board the Windrunner Fleet's ships sent to bombard them.[3] At the request of Captain Harker, the Horde adventurers had to kill the North Fleet Marines to take back the boats,[4] which were eventually able to destroy the marked cannons.[5] Using the confusion, Dark Ranger Lyana sent heroes to assassinate the fleet's leaders, including Captain Olster, Lieutenant Celeyne and Sergeant Lorric.[6] She then announced their victory and that it would take their troops a few hours at most to eliminate the last stragglers.[7]
When Vengeance Landing received word of Alliance reinforcements coming to the aid of the North Fleet survivors, Apothecary Lysander saw a good opportunity to test his Plague Vials. The adventurers were eventually tasked with bombing the fleet with vials of the Forsaken's plague, which only causes the North Fleet Reservists to become nauseous and retreat.[8]

Trivia
- The ships are not actually moving.
- If the player visits this location when not on the bombing run, the Reservists will still be incapacitated from the last bombing run done on them. If killed, the Reservists will respawn and act normally until another bombing run is done.
