Fordragon Hold is an Alliance fortress at the base of Angrathar the Wrathgate, the gate to Icecrown Citadel, in the northern regions of the Dragonblight. The hold is made up of several cannon towers and a guard tower. Highlord Bolvar Fordragon once commanded the Alliance forces from this fortress. Its Horde equivalent is the Kor'kron Vanguard.

History

Wrath of the Lich King This section concerns content related to Wrath of the Lich King.

During the Northrend campaign in 27 ADP, Highlord Bolvar Fordragon led the Valiance Expedition to the Dragonblight, and once Angrathar the Wrathgate was secured, he had his soldiers build Fordragon Hold in preparation for an assault against Icecrown Citadel itself.[1] After the successful attacks on Azjol-Nerub and Naxxramas,[2] and once all necessary arrangements had been made, the Alliance and Horde armies temporarily allied to fight the Scourge in the Battle of Angrathar the Wrathgate.[3]

After Grand Apothecary Putress's betrayal, the Alliance and Horde forces in the nearby area were left in total disarray and panic, with chaos reigning across Fordragon Hold and the Kor'kron Vanguard.[4]
