Raven

Ravens are a species of bird primarily found in Outland, though a few raven critters can also be found in Stonetalon Mountains. The ravens of Outland seem to have a special connection with the arakkoa, with many ravens serving the various veils. A subspecies of raven is the dread raven, which the Raven God Anzu is the father of. The former vrykul Vydhar states that not only are they filthy, (as apparently one that can understand them) these birds are foul-mouthed and rude. They apparently like to insult by speaking uncouth things about one and one's lineage.[1]
In Kul Tiras, ravens are used as homing pigeons to send messages.[2]
Named
Blackbeak can be found in Falcon Watch, presumably as a pet to one of the local blood elves.- Eva is Ar'tor's pet, both having died at the hands of the demons in Shadowmoon Valley.
Melody is Elizabeth Birdsong's pet in Stormwind.- Poe is Will Larsons's pet critter located near the center of Lor'danel in Darkshore.

Types
- Dire Ravens can be found in Blade's Edge Mountains, outside of Grishnath.
- Brood of Anzu can be found in the Sethekk Halls, guarding Anzu.
- Dark-Eye Ravens and Darkeye Raven critters are found on the Isle of Thunder.
- Gilnean Raven critters. They are sold to Worgen players by Will Larsons.
- Grishna Ravens can be found in Grishnath, serving the Grishna.
- Izu's Raven appeared during Yikkan Izu's encounter in the Brawler's Guild.
- Spirit Ravens are found in the Bone Wastes of Terokkar Forest.
- Raven critters can be found in the Stonetalon Mountains.
- Upland Ravens can be found in the center of Kun-Lai Summit.
In the RPG
Ravens are a type of bird. These glossy black birds are about 2 feet long and have wingspans of about 4 feet. They combine both claws into a single attack. They are non-predatory birds. They are solitary and live in temperate forests on Azeroth.[3] Ravens in cold climes are under some competition with storm crows, but are not completely shouldered out.[4]

[Mephitic Reins of Dark Portent], 
[Bloody Reins of Dark Portent] and 
[Midnight Black Reins of Dark Portent] can be bought once 
[Power Ascended] (and the quest mount) is achieved for Assassination, Outlaw and Subtlety specializations respectively. Zan Shivsproket sells them in the Hall of Shadows for 1000 
each.

[Cobalt Raven Hatchling] is a rare drop from

[Shadefeather Hatchling] is a rare drop from Island expeditions.- Spectral Raven is caught from pet battles in Nazmir.
As a hunter's pet
