Ankylodons are dinosaurs native to Zandalar.

Ankylodons are tamable by hunters as part of the Scalehide family.

The Zandalari druid [Bear Form] is an ankylodon.
The ankylodons are inspired by the Ankylosaurus, a genus of heavily armored dinosaur; with elements of turtles added on.
In the Battle for Azeroth beta, the quest [10-60] A Thorn in the Side called ankylodons "thornhides".
