Free-Flying Feathermane in Hearthstone: Battlegrounds.

Cloudstriders (also known as owl steeds and lighthoofs) are feathermanes found in Bastion. They resemble a mix between stags and birds, with hooves and antlers but also beaks and feathers.

Cloudstriders usually shed their antlers, but the anima drought disturbed that habit.

As a hunter pet

Cloudstriders are tamable by hunters as part of the Feathermane family. In order to tame Feathermanes, hunters must purchase the  [Tome of the Hybrid Beast] from Pan the Kind Hand at Trueshot Lodge at a cost of 1000 .

Notes and trivia

• During the Shadowlands alpha, cloudstriders used windsteed models and were referred to by some quests and items as kirin, the Japanese and Korean name for the mythological creature on which the windsteeds are based. Later in the alpha, they received a new, unique model and almost all references to "kirin" were replaced with "cloudstrider".
  • One reference to the old name and appearance remains in the world quest  [60WQ] Express Dominance. When riding a Glimmerhoof Cloudstrider, players are granted a buff named  Glimmerhoof Kirin, with an icon depicting a windsteed.
