A red panda.
Pandas are rare animals. There are two types: the black-and-white, bear-like giant pandas and the raccoon-like red pandas.
Giant panda cubs are highly sought after by adventurers around Azeroth, despite their narcoleptic nature.[1]
Red pandas come in various types, like the sunfur pandas who enjoy basking in the sun,[2] the snowy pandas who use their white fur to hide in snowbanks high in Kun-Lai Summit,[3] and their cousins the mountain pandas, who reside in the summit's lower regions.[4]
Pandaren and meeksi are panda-like races. Pandaren resemble humanoid giant pandas (though some individuals have red fur and/or long tails like red pandas), while meeksi resemble red pandas.

Notes
- Players can turn into giant panda cubs using
[Magic Bamboo Shoot]. - Early in the Mists of Pandaria beta, wild red pandas (using bear placeholder models) were planned to appear in Fox Grove in the Jade Forest as part of a short questline.[5] The questline was removed before release and red pandas did not appear in the game until the addition of the red panda pets in patch 5.2.0.
