Seekers are feral creatures resembling a cross between an owl and a cat that were infused with the Light by the "Shapers". The finest specimens were selected from herds and trained to serve the titanic watchers, speeding them to sites of corruption in accordance with containment protocols. Once plentiful, only three seekers remain on Azeroth after generations of battling invasive "corruptive entities [that] have bombarded this planet since its shaping".[1][2]

They were kept within the Primordial Observatory, but during the third invasion of the Burning Legion, Azeroth's world-soul reached out to her Speaker, Magni Bronzebeard, in order to save them from the corruption of the Void. Though one had already fallen to shadow, all three were saved before the entire vault was overtaken. Azeroth knew that the High Priest of the Conclave would protect the seekers and use them in service of the Light.[1]
