Eel

Eels are fish found in waters of Azeroth and Outland. Fond of slithering through tight spaces, these sea creatures lurk in the wreckage of sunken ships.

The eels from Nazjatar are known as abyssal eels. They are able to swallow and digest something up to twice the width of their body. Those who inhabit the trenches and chasms of Nazjatar are a favored food of many creatures that inhabit the area, but they also are experts at hiding in the many cracks and rocks of the sea floor.

The electric eels are the favorite food of the cloudrooks and stormrooks on the Isle of Dorn.

The eels of Draenor are known as moray. They are vicious predators, attacking anything that enters the water. Adventurers appear to hold a particular antipathy towards eels, considering them among the creepiest of Azeroth's creatures.

Some Pandaren believe the eel G'nathus to be an ancient Zandalari Loa left behind to guard the waters south of Lei Shen's island citadel.

The eels were first encountered in The Burning Crusade, where they shared a model with mana wyrms. Cataclysm later added a large number of eels as well as giving them a unique model.
