As a hunter pet
Butterflies can be tamed as part of the moth pet family. Currently, the only tamable butterflies are found in the Dragon Isles.

Alexstrasza takes the forms of a deer and a butterfly.[3]
Notes
- Butterflies are present in the Stonetalon Mountains. One came to the dryad Taryndrella in the Charred Vale.[4]
- Pixie-like creatures have butterfly wings.[5]
- Butterfly is a derogatory term form the Wildhammer dwarves.[6][7]
