Mountain lion
Mountain lions (sometimes referred to as cougars[1][2][3]) are a variety of lions that can be found across Azeroth, notably in the Hillsbrad Foothills, Badlands, Northern Stranglethorn, Mulgore, Highmountain, and once in the Thousand Needles.[4]
A mountain lion's blood can be used in certain alchemy to create a death-brew.[5] Their claws can be used in tauren cleansing rituals,[6] and their femur, when combined with a wolf's heart, a plainstrider's scale and a swoop's gizzard, can be used in a ritual to cure deadly infections.[7]

In the RPG
Mountain lions are usually found in the warm mountains and plains.[8] Across the open plains of Mulgore, and the green hills and fertile meadows of Hillsbrad Foothills, many animals roam including mountain lions.[9][10]
These cats are about four feet long and weigh about 120 pounds. They usually hunt at night.[8]
