Ferret
Ferrets, also called polecats,[1] ermines,[2] or stoats,[3] are small mammals found in Kul Tiras, Vol'dun, the Isle of Dorn, and Zul'Aman. The vulpera of Vol'dun keep tame ferrets as pets.[4] Stoat fur is very soft and popular among Kul Tiran nobles. The stoat hunt is considered one of the greatest hunting sports among the nobles of Boralus, one that requires determination, patience, and skill. Since stoats are agile, sneaky, and almost impossible to catch out in the forest, the recommended hunting method is to frighten them out of their burrows and kill them when they emerge.[5] Forest trolls breed ferrets to hunt snakes; their low profile and long bodies make them perfect for chasing snakes into their own holes.[6]
