Silithid swarmers are a caste of silithid that train the young.[1] Swarmers have been seen in several hives usually with a young silithid following them.

This scorpionlike creature has a turquoise body with huge claws clacking at the air. Silithid swarmers carry young silithid. Underneath its shell, a swarmer carries a cluster of broodlings, protecting them with its body. When the swarmer locates prey, it releases its broodlings so that they may learn how to fight. Should the need arise, the broodlings can retreat back under the swarmer’s shell for complete protection.[2]
Notes
- Many swarmers were removed with the release of Cataclysm, they all used the scarab model.
- The name swarmer is also associated with the silithid wasps.
