The Sethekk are a cult of cursed arakkoa found at the Sethekk Hollow in Spires of Arak. They were formerly led by Talon King Ikiss, who proclaimed himself to be the reincarnation of the arakkoa's ancient king and greatest hero, Terokk.[1] The Sethekk worship Sethe, the dead god, who they were attempting to revive.[2]
The Sethekk were also trying to summon Anzu,[3] the dread raven god and Sethe's ancient enemy, out of the shadows in an attempt to control him (a task which they succeeded at in the main timeline).[4] Anzu stated that the Sethekk have pledged themselves to a lie and ordered the cult to be destroyed.[5]
After Gul'dan takeover of the Iron Horde, the Burning Legion began its invasion of Draenor in earnest, and the Sethekk allied themselves with the Shadow Council.[6] They were mainly found at the ruins of Kra'nak, where the warlocks of the Shadow Council instructed them in the arts of fel magic. Adventurers were tasked by the Order of the Awakened before thy could master their diabolic powers.[7] They could also be found attempting to revive Rasthe, son of Sethe.
Upon Archimonde's death, Khadgar proclaimed that Draenor was free, while Grommash Hellscream, Yrel, and Durotan turned their attention to rebuilding their world,[8] which could signify that the Shadow Council and the Sethekk may have been destroyed or weakened to the point the Draenor leadership felt that they were no longer a threat.
