Hederine

Darkwhisper Gorge

The Hederine were a group of Burning Legion demons seemingly named after and led by Lady Hederine. They were located in the foothills of Darkwhisper Gorge, between Mount Hyjal and Winterspring. They were notably known for secreting powerful fel poisons which, if left to mature, hardened into a dense anti-magic crystal called the  [Tears of the Hederine]. Daio the Decrepit had warlock adventurers retrieve some of these crystals for him.

Following the Cataclysm, the Twilight's Hammer cultists defeated the demons and took control of the area.

Notes

• During classic World of Warcraft, they were all elite, and some of them dropped rare quest loot such as  [Draconic for Dummies] and  [The Eye of Shadow].

Speculation

• Given their location, they were likely remnants of the demons that participated in the Battle of Mount Hyjal.
• The Twilight's Hammer cultists say that they lost the Gates of Sothann to the pit lord Garnoth. He and the Horrorguards that patrol the area may have been a part of the Hederine who evaded defeat when the Hammer took control of the Gorge.
