Biography

Vorian II with his master, Saavedro of Stratholme

Vorian II was born at the family home in Darkshire during the "interbellum" between the Second and Third Wars. While his mother, Amelie, opposed the idea of making him a soldier, his father suggested they let the boy decide. Vorian II was fascinated by the stories of his father and grandfather fighting for the Alliance, and Oren - after becoming an officer and journeying to Northrend - brought his son to see where he fought, maintaining his safety the whole way. Oren's men adopted him as their "nephew", as they were all brothers-in-arms with his father, as they had been with the elder Vorian.

Oren brought Vorian II to the Argent Tournament Grounds in Icecrown to watch the champions from around the world duel in honorable combat. It was around this point that Saavedro of Stratholme entered the tournament in the name of Stormwind - being the kingdom that represented the majority of humans in the Alliance these days. After about a week of hard training and battle, Saavedro became a Champion of Stormwind and was granted a squire to carry his pennants. Oren suggested that his son fill that role, and the paladin agreed. Carrying the three pennants that represented Saavedro's rank as Champion, Vorian II accompanied the paladin across Icecrown while he fought the Scourge.

After Saavedro's apparent death, Vorian II carried the pennants of the Farseer Jaeden'laek, Saavedro's top lieutenant.
