Humanoid mounts were first added to World of Warcraft in Mists of Pandaria with the yeti mount 
[Challenger's War Yeti]. After this the gronnlings were designed in a similar fashion using the same animations.
Mission
[Coalfist Gronnling] is the reward from the rare mission 
Breaker Two and can be sold on the Auction House.

- [Sunhide Gronnling] is a guaranteed drop from the rare elite Poundfist in Gorgrond.
[Minion of Grumpus] can be found during the Winter Veil world event, and has the chance to drop from a 
[Savage Gift], purchased for 5 
[Merry Supplies].- [Craghorn Chasm-Leaper] can drop from Island expeditions,
[Dread Chain Salvage] and 
[Skittering Hollow Salvage].
