Nerubian spiders are small, six-legged spider-like nerubians. They are capable of speech.[1] They can spin strong webs.[2] At least some seem to be responsible for digging tunnels[3] or tending to nerubian eggs,[4] while others seem to mainly serve a combat role as assassins[5] or by attacking enemies in large swarms.[6] Thousands of them swarm underneath Northrend to this day.[7]

Speculation

As they have six legs, they could be insects and not spiders. Nerubians might form some sort of symbiotic relation with a variety of non-nerubian insects, carrying them with them even in undeath as seen with crypt lords' use of insects: carrion beetles and locusts.
