Nerubian flyer
Nerubian flyers,[1][2][3][4] commonly called swarmites in Azj-Kahet,[5][6][7] are a type of nerubians[8][9] that have membranes between their legs, similar to a bat's wing, allowing them to fly as well as skitter across the ground. They can spit venom,[10] and some can spit fire.[11]
In Azjol-Nerub, most flyers have been raised as Scourge, but living specimens exist among the Azjol-anak and Voru'kar. At least one Scourged flyer is intelligent and capable of speech.[12]
In Azj-Kahet, swarmites are non-sapient beasts[13][14] that live both in the wilds (where they live in pillar-nests alongside threadlings) and among the other, more intelligent Kaheti who domesticate them.[15] Although it's uncommon, swarmites are more than capable of carrying the weight of humanoids who choose to ride them as mounts.[16]

As a hunter pet

Swarmites from Azj-Kahet are tamable as blood beasts. Flyers from Azjol-Nerub are untamable, being mostly classified as either undead or uncategorized.
