The Headlands is a large area of Gilneas located northwest of Keel Harbor. Like in the Northern Headlands, Gilnean stone ruins can be found throughout the area.

History

Cataclysm

During

[1-30] They Have Allies, But So Do We.

During the invasion of Gilneas, it became a battlefield between the Gilnean and night elves allied forces against the Horde armies. During the conflict, night elf druids were mentioned holding back the invaders to protect the transport ships at Keel Harbor. Alongside the worgen adventurer using a glaive thrower, Towering Ancients fought against Orc Raiders, Wolfmaw Outriders, and their war machines in the area.^[1] After the end of the conflicts and the evacuation of the Gilnean population to Darnassus, the area once again became deserted.

Dragonflight

This section concerns content related to Dragonflight.

Over a decade after the Gilnean exodus, the Headlands became an area where various animals came to settle, notably flocks of sheep, herds of wild horses, and wandering deer.
