Crowley Stable Grounds
The Crowley Stable Grounds was an extensive area located east of the Crowley Orchard in Gilneas. It was a stable full of mountain horses.
At the time of the invasion of Gilneas, the quakes spooked the hungry ettin Koroth the Hillbreaker who descended from his den in the nearby mountains to the east, and began to prey upon the horses. At the orchard, Lorna Crowley tasked the Gilnean adventurer to rescue a few horses from Koroth, so that the citizens of Duskhaven could flee the Forsaken troops more quickly in carriages.[1]
With the earthquakes caused by the Cataclysm, the majority of the stable grounds fell into the sea, though its easternmost part in the hills survived.[2]
Following the exodus of the Gilnean people to Darnassus, Astrid Langstrump learned from Lorna how the horses were saved and offered to take care of those that made it across the sea with them.[3]
