Wahl Cottage
The Wahl Cottage was a small farm area in southwestern Gilneas, between Duskmist Shore and the Crowley Orchard. It was owned by old Grandma Wahl, where she raised chickens and roses.
When the populace around Duskhaven was ordered to evacuate to higher ground due to the Forsaken invasion, the Gilnean adventurer was sent by Mayor Gwen Armstead to convince Grandma Wahl by any means to accompany them.[1] As Forsaken scouts patrolled the area, she accepted to follow on the condition that the adventurer bring her best outfit,[2] her favorite book,[3] and her loving cat which was used by the forsaken Lucius the Cruel as a bait to kill Gilneans in the woods.[4] Once certain that she had not forgotten anything, Grandma Wahl finally left her house.[5]
With the earthquakes caused by the Cataclysm, the land crumbled and the area was swallowed by the sea.[6] Unlike Duskhaven, absolutely nothing remains of the farmstead under the water.
