History

Cataclysm

Cataclysm This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

At the time of the invasion of Gilneas, the Cataclysm's quakes spooked Koroth who descended from his den and began to prey upon the horses at the Crowley Stable Grounds.[1]

During the evacuation towards Stormglen Village, Ogre Ambushers attacked Prince Liam Greymane's stagecoach on the road just below the den, while the other stagecoach fell into Hailwood Marsh.[2] When Prince Liam discovered that the Forsaken troops were after the refugees, he planned to stop them by stealing Koroth's banner from his den with the help of the Gilnean adventurer. After he planted it before the undead squadron, Koroth came down the hill and mistakenly believed that the Forsaken took the banner, so he slaughtered them all in the area.[3] Following the Gilnean exodus to Darnassus, Koroth and his servants have vanished from the den by the time of the conflicts in the Ruins of Gilneas.

Dragonflight

Over a decade later, Koroth's Den still remains deserted from the presence of Koroth the Hillbreaker and his ogre servants after the Reclamation of Gilneas. Their status remains unknown.
