Duskmist Shore was a coast of Gilneas, located southwest of Duskhaven. It was the Cataclysm's earthquakes that opened a passage through the reefs, which have always protected the kingdom from coastal attacks.[1] During the invasion of Gilneas, it served as the main initial landing ground for the Forsaken,[2] where two ships could be found under the command of Captain Morris and Captain Anson.

In order to repel the invaders, Mayor Gwen Armstead of Duskhaven sent the remaining militia to the shore to meet the Forsaken force head on, while the Allen Farmstead's storm cellar became a staging area for Lord Vincent Godfrey to lead the counter-offensive.[3] The worgen adventurer was later sent to kill Captain Morris and Captain Anson, while the Forsaken Machinists and their catapults landed on the shore and began bombarding the Hammond and Allen farmsteads.[4] Godfrey also tasked them to kill Dark Ranger Thyala, who oversaw the invasion from the captured unnamed house belonging to the Walden family.[5]

Along with the Hammond Farmstead, these were the first sections to fall into the sea during the earthquakes caused by the Cataclysm.[6]
