Stormglen Village gossip

Hello dearie! My, aren't you quite the hero!

Come in, come in. Sit down, have some food why don't you? I baked the bread myself. Fresh as a daisy!

This isn't quite the same as my old house, but it does feel nice to be back.

Gossip It must have been hard moving back after all this time.

Not at all dearie, not at all!
Why, I'm as spry as a chicken. Spryest of the spry, I reckon. Other chickens would look at me and think to themselves "Well I may be spry, but I wish I could be as spry as THAT chicken!"
Reminds me of a chicken I had once. Before I had Chance, my cat.
Oh, that chicken would not have liked Chance one bit, no it would not!
That feather duster was nearly feral, so it was. Would've had Chance's tail off quick as a fox!
Gossip I...
Ah ah! It's rude to interrupt your elders dearie. Do mind your manners!
Where was I?
Oh! My chicken. Biggest chicken this side of the wall, I suspect. Named it Percy, after my father.
Not my father, sorry--my father's chicken.
Oh Percy. You were lovely, but like I said, quite feral. Had to treat Percy with respect, as you should every animal.
Of course after Percy I got Chance. Lovely little bundle of purr, that one!
Gossip <Stay silent.>
<Grandma Wahl stares at you intently.>
Bit rude not to show interest when others are speaking, <name>. I'd have expected you to ask at least a few questions by now.
What were you asking?
Ah, not a question. A remark. Difficult to move in, goodness no. Very easy! Why, I have those nice Hammonds to help me whenever my old bones can't manage.
Did you know they used to live out near me as well? Why I remember when they were no taller than my knee. Now look at them!
Gossip My apologies, Grandma. I should be going.
Well, why didn't you say so earlier? Off with you then, dearie!
And take some food on your way out! No one goes hungry on Granny's watch!
Gossip <Back away slowly while Grandma Wahl continues talking.>

Trivia

Speculation

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

It is unknown how she was able to change forms because at the time, the closest thing to a cure merely gave control back to the human side. However, it is revealed that Genn Greymane had been such a worgen in human form through the entire questline. Other worgen are able to shapeshift at will, even before the Ritual of Balance was created, such as those of the Wolf Cult and Wolfcult.

  • Grandma Wahl appears calm and senile and does not even remember shifting. With her emotions in check, she might only shift when angered, similar to Genn Greymane.
  • Grandma Wahl could have been a member of the Wolf Cult, which had spread to Duskhaven, and whose members could shapeshift at will.
