- Corpse Explosion is now taught by Necrophile Tome: Corpse Explosion instead of
[Glyph of Corpse Explosion].
- Presences have been removed.
- Runes are now universal instead of divided into Unholy, Blood, Frost, or Death runes.
- Ability changes
[Anti-Magic Shell] now scales with health.
[Army of the Dead] is now available only to Unholy. Ghouls no longer taunts enemies.
[Blood Boil] has been redesigned and only available to Blood. Now deals damage to nearby enemies and infect them with
[Blood Plague].
[Bone Shield] has been redesigned into a buff caused by
[Marrowrend]. Now also increases haste.
[Chains of Ice] is no longer available to Blood or applies
[Frost Fever]. Now reduces movement speed by 70%, up from 60%.
[Control Undead] no longer reduces the controlled undead's haste.
[Crimson Scourge] has been redesigned. Now causes auto attacks on targets infected your with
[Blood Plague] to have a chance to make your next
[Death and Decay] or
[Defile] cost no runes and reset its cooldown.
[Dancing Rune Weapon] now increases parry chance by 40%, up from 20%. Cooldown increased from 1.5 minutes to 3 minutes.
[Dark Command] is no longer restricted to Blood.
[Dark Succor] is no longer available to Blood. Now lasts for 20 seconds, up from 15 seconds.
[Dark Transformation] no longer cost a Rune and lasts for 20 seconds, down from 30. Now increases the ghoul's damage by 200%, up from 100%.
[Death and Decay] is no longer available to Frost. Now causes
[Heart Strike] and
[Scourge Strike] to hit additional targets while the death knight remains in the area. Damage increased by 125%.
[Death Coil] no longer available to Blood. Now restores energy to the summoned ghoul instead of healing a friendly undead target.
[Death Grip] now taunts only for Blood death knights.
[Death Strike] now cost Runic Power instead of Runes and redesigned. Deals Physical damage and heals for 20% of all damage taken in the last 5 sec, minimum 10% of maximum health.
[Empower Rune Weapon] is now available only to Frost.
[Festering Strike] has been redesigned. Now deals Physical damage and infects the target with 2 to 4 stacks of Festering Wound.
[Frost Strike] now deals 500% of weapon damage, up from 88%.
[Heart Strike] has been re-added and redesigned.
[Horn of Winter] has been redesigned to a Frost death knight talent. Now causes the death knight to gain 2 runes and generate 10 Runic Power.
[Howling Blast]'s direct damage has been reduced by 50%, and its AoE damage reduced by 57.5%.
[Icy Talons] is now a level 56 talent and redesigned. Now causes
[Frost Strike] to also increases melee attack speed by 10% for 6 sec, stacking up to 3 times.
[Killing Machine] no longer affects
[Frost Strike] and can only be procced from auto attack critical strikes.
[Mark of Blood] has been re-added and redesigned.
[Mastery: Blood Shield] no longer requires
[Blood Presence] and is now learned at level 78.
[Mastery: Dreadblade] is now learned at level 78.
[Mastery: Frozen Heart] is now learned at level 78.
[Mind Freeze] now has a 15 yd range.
[Necrosis] has been redesigned to a level 90 talent. Now causes
[Death Coil] to increase the damage of the next
[Scourge Strike] or
[Clawing Shadows] by 25%.
[Obliterate] no longer has a chance to cause your next
[Howling Blast] or
[Icy Touch] to consume no runes. Damage increased by 170% (35% for each weapon).
[On a Pale Horse] no longer reduces duration of movement-slowing effects.
[Outbreak] has been redesigned to an Unholy ability. Now deals Shadow damage, and causes the target and nearby enemies to be infected with Virulent Plague.
[Pillar of Frost] now increases Strength by 20% (up from 15%).
[Raise Ally] no longer costs runic power.
[Remorseless Winter] is now available only to Frost death knights. Cooldown reduced from 1 minute to 20 seconds. Now reduces movement speed by 50% (was 15%) and deals damage but no longer stuns enemies.
[Rime] now also causes the next
[Howling Blast] to deal 300% additional damage.
[Rune of Razorice] now deals 10% additional weapon damage (up from 4%).
[Rune of the Fallen Crusader] now increases Strength by 15% (down from 20%) and heals for 6% (up from 3%).
[Rune of the Stoneskin Gargoyle] now increases Armor by 5% (up from 4%) and all stats by 5% (from 2% of Stamina).
[Rune Tap] now reduces damage taken by 25%, down from 40%. Cooldown reduced to 25 seconds, down from 40 seconds.
[Shadow Infusion] has been changed from a level 60 ability to a level 90 talent. Now empowers
[Dark Transformation] instead of Risen Ghoul.
[Soul Reaper] has been changed from a level 87 ability to level 100 Unholy talent and redesigned. Now deals damage and causes the death knight to gain haste when bursting a Festering Wound.
[Strangulate] has been changed into an honor talent for Blood death knights.
[Summon Gargoyle] now lasts for 40 seconds, up from 30.
[Vampiric Blood] now increases maximum health and healing received by 30% (up from 15%). Cooldown increased from 1 minute to 1.5 minutes.
[Veteran of the Third War] has been redesigned. Now increases stamina by 50% and armor by 15%.
[Will of the Necropolis] has been redesigned. Now causes damage taken below 35% health to be reduced by 20%.
[Wraith Walk] added.

[Anti-Magic Zone] has been changed to an honor talent.
[Asphyxiate] is now a baseline ability for Blood and talent for Unholy. No longer acts as a silence against targets immune to stuns.

[Blinding Sleet] added.
[Blood Mirror] added.
[Blood Tap] has been redesigned and only available to Blood. Generates 1 Rune with a 1 minute recharge time, reduced by 1 sec whenever a
[Bone Shield] charge is consumed.

[Bloodworms] re-added.
[Bonestorm] added.
[Breath of Sindragosa] is now available only to Frost death knights. Runic Power cost reduced to 13 per sec (down from 15).
[Bursting Sores] added.

[Death's Advance] has been redesigned. It is now a passive Unholy ability that increases movement speed by 15%.
