Notes

During the Dark Transformation the ghoul transforms into a plague eruptor model.

Patch changes

Patch 10.1.5 (2023-07-11): Damage increase to the Death Knight's primary pet is now 50% effective in PvP combat.
Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 3 Unholy talent (was a level 32 Unholy ability).
Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13):
- The ghoul now deals shadow damage to nearby enemies when it transforms.
- Now learned at level 32 (was 74). Rank 2 added at level 52.
Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Duration decreased to 15 sec (was 20).
Hotfix (2016-10-26): Fixed a bug that caused Dark Transformation to not trigger some additional effects, and not correctly transform abominations into flesh golems.
Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): No longer costs a Rune, and lasts for 20 seconds (was 30). Now increases the ghoul's damage by 200% (was 100%).
Hotfix (2015-03-19): Fixed an issue where both [Shadow Infusion] and Dark Transformation could be active at the same time.
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Damage increase increased from 60% to 100%.
Hotfix (2011-02-18): Death knight Ghouls under the effects of Dark Transformation can no longer cast Gnaw while it's on cooldown.
Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Now increases pet damage by 80%, down from 100%.
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Added.
