Glyphs

Unholy Presence can be useful when running long distances on foot, such as when recovering from a wipe in an instance, as it increases the Death Knight's movement speed. For shorter distances, the rune cost of switching to Unholy Presence and then back to [Blood Presence] or [Frost Presence] again is generally not worth the brief speed boost.

Unholy Presence is likely derived from the Haste ability used by the Death Knight unit in Warcraft II and the Unholy Aura ability used by the Death Knights of Warcraft III.

Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Removed.
Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10): Now grants a flat 10% Haste to all things, up from Haste for melee (attack speed and Rune regeneration) only. The movement speed buff remains unchanged.
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): No longer reduces the global cooldown on abilities.
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Now increases attack speed by 10% (was 15%) and also increases rune regeneration by 10%. Assuming a new Presence will now consume any stored Runic Power.
Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): The animation for activating this presence will no longer also have the animation for [Blood Presence] played at the same time.
