Alternatívny Draenor by nemal byť napojený na náš Twisting Nether, ale mal by mať vlastný vesmír.

2013 - Loreologoy
  • Do Forsaken have souls? Or are they reanimated husks? Big topic on story forums.
    • IIRC, their souls are still there. They're just not as connected to their bodies as they once were. Not in a state of harmony.
    • Not all Forsaken are human. However, "souls" in this case isn't race specific. That "connection" lore is canonical via Metzen. :)
  • Could you clarify whether Anub'arak joined the Scourge willingly or not?
    • Evelyn's "Road to Damnation" story answers this. AA was asked if he agreed to serve. He replied, "‘Agreed’ implies choice." :)
  • Has the Eye of Dalaran ever been used to repair damage to the Violet Citadel, or is that no longer in continuity?
    • The artifact still exists in our continuity. Can't specify more than that at the current time, though. :)
  • his part of the Wc3 manual did I mean: "...common ancestry with gryphons and dragons..." Still true?
    • AFAIK, there hasn't been any ruling that contradicts this. I believe it's safe to assume that this lore still holds true.

Names

Analysis, continuity allusions & references

  •  [Wrathion's Journal]
    • Directly refers to new info from Chronicle 3 about Horde's raid on Dire Maul and the flight of the Shen'dralar.
    • Their library is abandoned.
  • Negotiations cinematic
    • Wymor's tower or the north one
  • Orgrimmar cinematic
    • as the camera showed, Sylvanas was able to easily hold against Varok due to magic buff. Was it void? Was it the same unknown dark magic she blasted at Varok?
    • The daggers were owned by Bannerbae, instead of being Xal'atath.
    • Callbacks to Wrathgate, Safe Haven, Lost Honor, Old Soldier, and the Burning of Teldrassil Warbringer
    • Reminds of Durotan and Gul'dan fight in movieverse.
    • Thrall and Anduin kind of forgot about their powers to resurrect the dead.
    • The building opposite of the gate is missing.
    • Nordrassil absent (is visible from the same angle in the game)
  • Varok's funeral scene
    • Garona is standing next to Eitrigg
    • Rexxar is standing next to Rokhan
  • Sylvanas spire
    • Banshees are still there despite being killed three times.
    • Nelf camp still standing.
    • N'Zoth to be killed by death.
      • in line with how the void voices feared Sylvanas and what they told Aalleria about her in three sisters.

  • Safe Haven
    • Varok/Dranosh's necklace is back, being on a hiatus in Lost Honor.
    • Thrall & family living in Nagrand
    • Is the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands connected to Outland again?
  • An Unexpected Reunion
    • Baine: "long ago since we spoke peacefully in Theramore."
    • Jaina: "Is he the bomb this time?"
    • Derek: "For as long as stars do shine."
      • Reference to the A [10-50] The Nation of Kul Tiras version of the Daughter of the Sea.
        • A further hint at the song having originally existed before Daelin's death (the Nation version being the original song)
    • Valeera acting as a messenger between Baine and Jaina may be an allusion to, or be derived from, Before the Storm where Valeera is a messenger between Anduin and Baine (albeit speaking with Perith)
    • In greetings, Baine places his hand to his chest, referencing previous mentions of the tauren custom in books.
    • First association of the Earth Mother with Azeroth.
  • Tides of War
    • References the fight between Garrosh and Varian in Ashenvale in Wolfheart.
    • References Focusing Iris animating Chromatus in Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects.
  • Morshan Ramparts and Zoram Outpost were abandoned post SoO (A Good War) due to Tyrande's speech in the SoO aftermath. Maybe.

Dual story

Sl
  • Sylvanas' response in the Ardenweald quest

Battle for Azeroth

  • Due to H [50] The True Leader of Zandalar, Battle of Dazar'alor canonically occurred before the Uldir raid?
    • (Rastakhan died first, then G'huuuuuun?)
    • Talanji is doubting if she is the ruler of Zandalar.
    • Would be weird "Zandalari calling for a leader they could love and trust", if Rastakhan were alive.
    • Rastakhan is alive, and Vol'jin just insulted / undermined him in favor of Talanji. Rastakhan is publicly unwanted.
      • Unlikely
  • The Fall of Rezan (Dazar'alor preview)

Gems

  • Old Horde leaders
  • Legion Artifact wielders: The Power in Our Hands#Notes
  • Laser kills - Deathwing, Sargeras, N'Zoth, au guldan, check chogall
  • Sons of Durotar (H [10-30] Cannons of Rage).
  • The first mention of humans is approx 12k BDP in Pandaren Revolution (based on SotH's mention with Taran (tho it is possible it is a hypothetical example and not really a fact)).
    • If not, then with the Highborne being in Tirisfal.
  • Thalyssra's Estate#Notes
  • The Silver Hand and the Kingdom of Stromgarde use the symbol (closed fist) albeit with different colors.
  • Highmountain tauren colors
    • Highmountain - red
    • Rivermane - blue
    • Skyhorn - green
    • Tattoos come in these colors as well and denote the tribe affiliation?
  • Varok Saurfang has fought in ten wars as of Battle for Azeroth.
  • Light's Hope Chapel was attacked four times.
    • Sanguine Scourge, Ashbringer Scourge, WotLK Scourge, Legion Ebon Blade
    • Since the WotLK attack is referred to as the Second Battle for Light's Hope Chapel, could the Sanguine one be the same as the Ashbringer one?
  • Scarlet Monastery was attacked 3 times
    • Summertide, WoW / Ashbringer, Cata, MoP, Legion, making it total 7 or 8 assaults.
  • Scarlet Monastery is also portrayed from inside the instances to be far more bigger, with at least 5 chapels / towers.
    • No wonder the crusaders still keep coming back.
  • Lordaeron was attacked 5 times + 1 attack at gates.
  • Theramore was attacked three times.
  • Angrathar the Wrathgate was done on Sylvanas orders. [1] Or not [2]
  • Blood elves joined the Horde first, before the draenei joined the Alliance. (as presented in RotH)
  • Bilgewater goblins joined the Horde first before the worgen officially joined the Horde. (as presented in Wolfheart)
    • However, the appearance of SI:7 worgen on the Lost Isles indicates that they arrived to Darnassus, and joined Alliance organizations (although they were not officially in) before the goblins started working with the Horde on the isles.
  • Turalyon is the oldest-living original member of the Silver Hand. Followed by Jorad Mace and Lord Maxwell Tyrosus, timeline-wise.
  • The end of NotD hints at Korialstrasz's death in TotA.
  • The Lost Glacier is the northernmost place of Azeroth.
  • Despite Mannoroth claiming that he and Cenarius clashed in the past, even claiming to know how cunning the demigod is, the encounter has never actually been described prior or after in literature until it was shown in World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1's art.
  • Mulgore has a new river as per As Our Fathers Before Us.
  • Due to  [Core Hound Chain], Majordomo Executus may be alive.
  • The Council of Six members being neutral to Horde but friendly to Alliance in Legion-Dalaran is a nod to the Kirin Tor being in the Alliance.
  • Red-colored attire existed in the Silver Hand before the formation of the Scarlet Crusade as evidenced by>
    • Saidan Dathrohan, one individual in volume 1, and two unnamed soldiers in volume 2 after the death of Alexandros in Mardenholde Keep in Ashbringer.
    • Valdelmar, if he was a member of the Silver Hand, however, Abbendis' sentence to him in Ashbringer, may imply that he was not.
    • the units in the Reforged-Stratholme.
  • The Southsea Freebooters, Northsea Freebooters, and Bloodsail Buccaneers all use the same sail color.
  • Like Arthas was while encased, Bolvar is telepathically active.
  • Maiev was tagged as Alliance in the Legion site (foreshadowing?). In Beefa, Maiev met with King Anduin for the Darkshore stuff and the wardens fought for the Alliance against the Horde in the Battle for Darkshore.
  • The Mograine farm was 2 miles away from Capital City.
  • WoD's original story was such a shitshow that we (and on an occasion a developer) didn't know what Legion we were fighting. That's why Mannoroth (Warlords of Draenor), Archimonde (Warlords of Draenor), and Burning Legion (Warlords of Draenor) existed for a time. Thanks the holy Twitter for clarifying that instead of the game! (source)
    • HISHB: the story should have involved the actual aspect of time traveling / alternate universe as a plotline, preferably with the infinite dragonflight (which seem to have been cut during early development), bronze dragonflight, and the Timewalkers. The revelation that Mannoroth and Archimonde are still alive should have been a HUGE revelation for Thrall, Khadgar, and co., and act as a subplot, thus bringing the knowledge of "demon regeneration in the Nether" as new in-universe information into the story which would then continue to expand in Legion and eventually resolve on the Argus patch. This subplot would shake orc culture (Varok is cool and all, but bring back orc importance back) raise question whether Horde orcs are in fact free since Mannoroth "is around".
  • Ruins_of_Shandaral#Notes, could still be valid post-Chronicle, since the blog post doesn't specify if the magic was released when the black dragonflight wiped the blues.
  • Mention of pantheon of law and order ([3])
  • A [10-45] Demons Among Us - the guard revealed by Jace to be a demon is the same spot where Samuelson was revealed to be a traitor.
  • Alliance gunships have Lordaeron symbols.
  • Grimtotem Sorcerer, sorcerer typically refers to a mage, but this one has a shaman and a druid ability.

Holes & unanswered questions

  • EA: EK
    • What happened in Scholomance, canon-wise?
      • Hinted to have been raided twice due to the two items mention (Classic and MoP with Lilian). Then who exactly raised Rattlegore, Jandice, and Gandling. Or were they not killed by Lilian?
    • Nathanos!Classic reference - (headcanon) there were actually two teams of SI:7 agents working on Marris/Blightcaller, with Flint and the others named being in the second group, while Mathias' report would refer only to the first team that also had died.
    • The Hillsbrad Foothills is rife with the Scourge, worgen, and ghosts."
      • Before the Storm hints that the Scourge attacked Southshore ("Calia's family dying as Scourge") and Tarren Mill was also attacked by the Scourge in The Sunwell Trilogy. Classic and Cata have no Scourge presence at all.
      • Headcanon: By saying Scourge, Mathias actually means the Forsaken. Alternatively, the Scourge could refer to the undead in Alterac Mountains from The Sunwell Trilogy, and they pose threat to Hillsbrad below.
      • "Worgen" - Bloodfangs.
      • "Ghosts" probably refers to the dwarves of Dun Garok.
    • Baradin Hold's description of the timeline of events is chaotic and isn't inline with what happened in the game (breakout description).
    • HC: map - a lake in the eastern part of Zul'Aman is Lake Abasi or Tyr's Bay.
  • Shadows Rising
    • Why and when were Nathanos Blightcaller and Sira Moonwarden in Dragonblight?
    • Notes: Mayla and Geya'rah are absent from council meetings. However, some Mag'har orcs are present in the first one. Book wording also implies that only those present are members, leaving the membership of the two unclear. Author clarified that Mayla is a member.
      • Elevated to ambassador to Zandalar, Zekhan was to report everything he learns and noticed about Talanji... like a spy.
      • In A [60] The Treasury Heist, Jaina worked with Umbric who used the Void to conceal her portal. In the book, Jaina is revealed to be distrustful of the Void and the person practically possessed by it.
    • Old Ones?
    • Baine wanted to overthrow Sylvanas.
    • Mistake: Jaina remembers standing in Thundebluff after rescuing Baine. However, she was not in the city, but on a cliff in Mulgore with view on Thunder Bluff.
    • Jaina is described to have killed Rastakhan at least three times.
    • Dazar'alor is described as the golden city. (the city should be Zuldazar?)
  • What's the Uncrowned background?
  • Why was Sylvanas so sympathetic to Varian and the Horde leaders (Legion intro) when last we saw her was full of rage (War Crimes)? Why did she urge Varian to kill Gul'dan, when at this point her objective was already to fill the Maw, and she would, technically, want the Legion invading Azeroth.
    • Would it blow her cover? She could still act... less neutral towards what was happening and not so enthusiastic/friendly.
    • Was the Ranger-General persona in control or just faking it?
  • How and when exactly Priscilla Ashvane ended up in Nazjatar serving Queen Azshara.
  • Arkilus Thunderbrew
  • The name Lightbound may or may not be the faction's overall name (?)
  • (PTR) Medivh was already in Karazhan in RtK in his non-ghost state but Wrathion's journal describes Medivh as a ghost. So Wrathion was in Kara before RtK?.
  • Garrosh's shard of the  [Vision of Time] was never mentioned again, but Gul'dan is said to have one, and somehow, sometime, do things from H [40-70] Echo of Gul'dan. Or a mistake?
  • How exactly Priscila Ashvane ended up in Nazjatar serving under Azshara and her naga? Prior appearance was being rescued from Tol Dagor by the Horde.
  • Bilgewater-Steamwheedle depression
    • Gazlowe's Greasemonkeys are Bilgewater goblins who are led by Gazlowe of the Steamwheedle Cartel.
    • Ricket is in Dazar'alor working with the Mag'har on their technology, stamping her work with the Bilgewater logo.
    • Are the two no longer Steamwheedle but Bilgewater? Are they in both Cartels? Were they - only - hired without leaving Steamwheedle and becoming Bilgewater?
      • Missions involving Ratchet say Steamwheedle allied with the Horde.
      • Gazrix Gearlock and Moxie Dealracket imply some sort of a distrust between the two Cartels.
        • Gazrix and his two Steamwheedle goblins are standing under a Bilgewater symbol.
          • Is the Bilgewater symbol not a Bilgewater symbol but a generic goblin symbol (similar to the naga banner used by various naga groups)? Ricket specifically refers to the Bilgewater symbol as a "riveted goblin banner".
          • Is it also worth to note that a Steamwheedle banner exists.
    • Eventually led to Gazlowe becoming Trade Prince of the Bilgewater.
      • No word whether he left his position as leader of Ratchet and member of the Steamwheedle.
  • How and when exactly was Talgath defeated?

  • What exactly is the Pearl of Pandaria. Why did the naga want it? Who was the sea witch that sent Zhahara to retrieve it?
  • Is Nazjatar supposed to be under the Maelstrom in 82? Cinematic showed open sea with no Maelstrom land. Due to the spell with the Tidestone, is Maelstrom exposed?
  • Did the sieges of cities and other events from original RTS (end of the human campaign in I, Dalaran, Stromgarde, Stratholme, Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal missions#Notes, etc) but haven't been referenced anywhere since then still happen in the current canon?

  • WC says that Shokia was in deep cover in Hammerfall, and was a loyalist of Garrosh when he was defeated (from "being disheartened at the fall of Garrosh"). Although not directly stated, she may have infiltrated Vol'jin's Rebellion and only acted as if she aided it during SoO.
  • Where are the civilians from the Starsword?
  • Where are the demons that were summoned by Gul'dan to the Broken Shore but never seen again? Are they still on Azeroth? Defeated off-screen??
  • Looks like Alor settlements are named after actual trolls. Who is Mazra?
  • Why didn't the Dragon Aspects and the dragonflight participate in the Third War?
  • Why Khadgar didn't teleport or create portal from Outland to Azeroth when the Sons of Lothar were stranded there after the destruction of Draenor might be explained with the Kil'jaeden cinematic - Khadgar probably needed a close distance between Outland and Azeroth, just like he had in the cinematic.

Characters, information, and plot going nowhere

  • Teldrassil kinda forgot about the enchantments it had from Alexstrasza & Ysera.
  • Unless the reason for it was the purge of Dalaran, Jaina being prophesized as leader of the Kirin Tor.
  • Wrathion's development in MoP.
  • Varian's plan for Theramore and Gilneas post-SoO.
  • Gelbin's taking Horde's technology from the Underhold.
  • The Shatterspear not being a tribe with individuals joining various organizations in the world. In the War of Thorns, the trolls are suddenly present.
  • Sylvanas kind of forgot about Zekhan in the War Campaign.
  • Frostwolf clan being deemed traitorous in Cata.
  • Thrall's dragon scales from ttota.
  • Forest trolls coming to Draenor after the Second War (WC2x manual)
    • Could have been used as a connector for the tBC Zul'Aman patch.
    • Shown in the Draenor flashback in tFT.
    • Probably retconned due to troll's absence in Beyond the Dark Portal.
  • Dark Tide mentioned by Zar'jira
  • Ashran and Isle of Conquest artifact.
  • Moira taking revenge on the Horde due to the questline that canonically was done by Alliance.
  • Majority of minor characters from literature.
  • The alliance between the Grimtotem tribe and the Forsaken.
  •  [Breath of Xibala] being sent to Stormwind.
  • Theramore's civilians - those that were sent to Gadgetzan and those that were sent to an island in the Great Sea.
  • Zul unleashing Hakkar (from Rise of the Zandalari trailer).

MIA Forsaken (Brill edition)

Mistakes & inconsistencies

  • Talk:Temple of the White Tiger, User:Mordecay/Kang's monastery.
  • Deathwing's Lair#Trivia
  • Merithra acts as if Ysera was gone for good even tho Legion already showed Ysera's spirit present in the Dream.
  • Calia's new model applied to Legion content. (corrected at some point)
  • Mythrax, Gonk, Kimbul, and Pa'ku are duplicated and can be seen twice at the same time in H [30-60] Zandalar Forever!.
  • Demolishers firing from Darkshore into Teldrassil.
  • Leading up to the Unexpected Reunion cinematic, Valeera came to deliver Baine's message to Jaina in A [60] Reporting In!, who acted like she didn't know the belf, but she should from the Comic. Shaw told Jaina that Varian trusted her, which allude to the Comic as revealed in A [60] Don't Shoot the Messenger, stuff that Jaina should know. For some reason, Jaina doesn't trust Valeera despite the fact that she aided Varian in Theramore/Dustwallov, and was present for the events of the New Council of Tirisfal where she was referred to as Jaina's ally in The Gathering.
    • Or Jaina may be asking about whether they can trust her NOW (years later after the Comic events), but Shaw's response makes no sense in this context because it still alludes to the Comic & the comic era which Jaina was present to.
  • In the game, Camp Taurajo has civilians casualties. ToW indicates there were no casualties, but it may also depend on interpretation (Hawthorne first provided the way for them to escape vs. soldiers not obeying his answers and still killing them after the way was provided)
  • Gods of Zul'Aman trailer mentions the Alliance in the context when the Alliance wasn't around. Or it's meant to be the Second War, but the wording is also inaccurate. Probably made 'easier' to reflect on the current day.
  • Shadow of the Necropolis trailer was done in Winterspring due to lack of Northrend.
  • The Belf heritage questline - The Sunwell is in the Sunwell Plateau, whereas the plateau didn't exist and the Sunwell was still in the open. Done due to limitation.
  • The Fury of the Sunwell trailer has Kael and Belves in front of the Dark Portal when he was to join Illidan, but the belves were never in the Blasted Lands. They used Kel'Thuzad's portal in Dalaran.
The Sundering
  • Brox refers to Thrall as his chieftain.
Anduin: Son of the Wolf
  • Anduin meeting Baine with Thrall present. No such meeting has ever been shown previously.
    • HC: the panel depicts and focuses on tolerance towards Baine and Thrall (or Horde), and not that such a meeting happened.
Tides of Darkness
  • Turalyon and Alleria went to Quel'Thalas for two weeks, going through valleys. He, however, asked a Wildhammer dwarf to go to Alterac to Daelin. Daelin ordered his ships, stationed near Darrowmere Lake, down the river. They caught Turalyon and his army below Stromgarde.
  • Below Stromgarde??? Despite being in the Hinterlands.
  • It mentions a river past the mountains the Horde used and that goes into Quel'Thalas and to (near) Stratholme.
    • In WoW's geography, it matches the Thondroril River going through northern Lordaeron.
    • In WoW's portrayal, there's a small waterfall between Hillsbrad and the WPL.
    • In Warcraft III manual maps, a river goes into Quel'Thalas dividing it with Zul'Aman but from a different side than WoW's Thondroril (which technically doesn't exist in W3, or could be intended to be Thondroril).
  • Journey to Quel'Thalas not covered by Chronicle 2.

Lion's Heritage

Varian Wrynn & Onyxia - The Comic vs in-game questline.
  • A IconSmall Human Male.gifIconSmall Human Female.gif [50-70] A Window to the Past - Shaw retells the story of the questline, omitting Varian.
  • A IconSmall Human Male.gifIconSmall Human Female.gif [50-70] Rotten Old Memories - acknowledges both, turning each story into flavor lore.
  • A IconSmall Human Male.gifIconSmall Human Female.gif [50-70] Misdeeds in Moonbrook - Vanessa says Shaw ordered the death of Edwin, when in vanilla it was Gryan Stoutmantle who sent the adventurers to kill Edwin.
    • Maybe Gryan reported to Shaw and ordered him to have the adventurers go kill Edwin?

Retcons

In the original lore from Warcraft I, Aegwynn describes Medivh opening more than one Portal from Azeroth to Draenor prior to the First War.[2] This is not mentioned again and appears to be retconned in modern lore, with the Dark Portal being the only portal between the two worlds.

Possible
  • High elf (and forest troll?) lifespan, Anasterian, over 3k years old, was described as very old.

Evul masters

Headcanons and assumptions

In the game, the Vashj'ir island can be seen behind the Lighthouse whereas in the cinematic, the Vashj'ir island is absent and, instead, an island is depicted south of it (Vashj'ir is supposed to be a bit north (kinda inline with in-game depiction) as per Chronicle map.) which could be Balor.
  • Duke Reginald Baradin II / his parents come from the kingdom of Stromgarde.
  • Despite Jorach's epic description of the Uncrowned, they are actually only a very recent organization. He already had one, so he didn't need another leading it alone, since Taoshi wasn't around until MoP, Valeera til WotLK, Tess till Cataclysm, and Garona was busy till and during Cata.
    • Valeera disappeared from Stormwind (Stormrage!War Against the Nightmare), so in the chaos of Cata (Deathwing and Twilight's Hammer) she and Jorach created the Uncrowned and slowly started recruiting the other Shadows. Vanessa was asked to be the final Shadow also, before the position was given to the adventurer.
  • Jarod attributed Maiev killing innocent in Darnassus (Wolfheart) to "some foul influence". It is the Shadow Orb.
  • Calia, Derek, and the dark rangers are in Deathknell based on the fact that they despawned near its entrance.
  • Sylvanas sent assassins to kill Thrall with intentions that his soul would go to the Maw / Jailer.
  • Kael'thas was in favor of Quel'Thalas allying with the Horde because he planned to deliver them both to the Legion.
  • Deino was part of the group that attacked the blue dragonflight in ToW.
  • Since black dragons were present in the Barrow Deeps during the Third War, Deathwing was here as well during the Cataclysm when he tormented Thrall in that short story.
  • Magni forged the Ashbringer (its design) according to the description provided by Mograine, based on swords used by several paladins such as Dagren (W3 Refunded).
  • Sylvanas' green gems on her armor are to remind her of Alleria who kept emerald necklace.
  • Mueh'zala or N'Zoth is Bwonsamdi's boss.
  • Derek and Calia to lead the Lightsaken.
    • Or Derek is gonna kill someone with the dagger the cinematic showed. Jaina or Katherine.
      • A dagger was shown when Sylvanas was explaining the plan to Baine in H [60] The Return of Derek Proudmoore cutscene. The dagger and "slaughter" were seen and heard at the same time.
    • Calia to lead the Forsaken.
  • Due to the Horde being ok with going to Silithus through the Northern Barrens, there may be a bridge over the Great Divide into the Southern Barrens, unless the caravan was to jump or unless they would take ships in Ratchet.
  • Helya is behind Sylvanas actions in Beefa.
    • Kinda explained to be the jailer from Shadowlands
  • Arathi Basin is in the eastern Arathi Highlands
    • AB is the place where more Stromgarde & League soldiers & denizens "lived" as Stromgarde was torn.
  • When Aethas rose and said to Lor'themar "My lord" after Lor'themar's fit of anger directed at the Alliance, he was going to say his role in the theft, but did not. He then shifted uncomfortably on the Isle of Thunder.
  • We didn't see any W3 areas because they are on the Broken Shore and demons overran it, leaving no trace of them.
    • Due to the proximity of Suramar, the Library of Izal-Shurah may have been on the Broken Shore, confirming the theory.
    • Although the W3 maps portray several areas inconsistently, Maiev escaped the Tomb from its entrance but the map shows different isle than the Tomb is on, leaving the location of Brewmaster drinking area unclear.
  • Thrall's Landing Site is the site where Ratchet was built.
  • Arthas' landing site was Valgarde or Westguard Keep.
  • Maraad and Lyalia were the unnamed vindicator and Sentinel in Day One of the trial of Garrosh Hellscream, escorting him through the temple. The Untamed Valley happened just before its start.
    • Can't be during the trial due to "the six guards always assigned to him whenever he left the cell" in day five accompanied Yu Fei, and later again Garrosh in day nine.
  • Kervo was so keen on finding Mechagon that he did not care how he looked, eventually letting his hair and facial hair grow up, looking older.
  • Tirion referred to Bolvar as "old friend" and "brother" because Bolvar was in the Silver Hand.
    • if Bolvar was in the Silver Hand, then he can't be the footman that Calia was with and had Taelia with.
    • Bolvar is in connection with paladin mentors since he was a boy.
  • Captain Luc Valonforth (the captain) was the same person as the one in the wrath gate cinematic.
  • The Heart of Azeroth in the Maelstrom is the same place where the shaman lived in TotA and was visited by Ysera.
  • [Azerite] didn't occur in the remaining continents after the Great Sundering because Azeroth was still very nascent and very small.
  • The portal mark on the map for the Chamber of Heart is not a mistake. There is a hidden portal behind the wall / door (or simply an entrance) to another Uld-.
  • Kalec is in the Chamber of Heart for another reason - to "watch over" Ebyssian.
  • The shrines of the dragonflights (accessible from Wyrmrest) are on the Dragon Isles.
  • The non-class order human troops of the Armies of Legionfall are from the kingdom of Dalaran.
  • The  [Stormpike Banner] is actually Ironforge's because it is present in various areas where Stormpikes are not present. By placing it, the Stormpikes just show their allegiance.
  • The presence of the Ragefire group of troggs in Ragefire Chasm beneath Orgrimmar may indicate that, underneath the city, there might be remains of a titan vault similar to Uldaman, Ulduar, or Mechagon where Mimiron had some titan stuff (with troggs being on it as well).
  • Several sources claim that Eitrigg had two sons that died in a battle (ObaH, H [60] Eitrigg's Wisdom, TS:PtC). It's unknown whether Ariok is one of them or a third child. The UVGs list Ariok as Eitrigg's only son and the two deceased ones are not mentioned at all.
  • Due to their names, the n'raqi were formed predominantly from N'Zoth's matter and were name so due to its name.
  • Vereesa and Rhonin lived near Dalaran Crater and a friendly town. The friendly town was Hillsbrad and their home was at the beginning of the mountains of Alterac. In Alterac Mountains, there was Korialstrasz's cave as well... and Barony Mordis and the areas shown in the Sunwell Trilogy. And also the orc encampments from the Third War... Alterac's mountains are much, much bigger.
  • The Forge of Aeons is not a real area, instead it is a memory of a place.
  • The interior of Torghast calls upon the architecture seen in Icecrown Citadel.[3] Since Icecrown Citadel is a recent structure, it's probable that its architecture is actually inspired by Torghast. Somehow.
  • Wood and forest mentioned by the  [Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron] and Y'Shaarj through  [Xal'atoh, Desecrated Image of Gorehowl] refers to Ny'alotha.
  • Based on that one ability, Illidari satyrs come from the Bleakheart group.
  • The deceased Klaxxi'va are alive in BfA, although no explanation is given, it is assumed they were resurrected. However, it may have been a developer mistake like with several Hillsbrad Legion Invasion NPCs.
  • HC: The area around Moonglade is a mountainous region, the home of chimeras, stone giants, faerie dragons, dryads, and ancients.
  • The  [Ring of the Silver Hand] belonged to Magroth the Defender.
  • The Highmountain tauren and nightborne are a result of time travel interference of Rhonin, Krasus, Brox in the War of the Ancients. As such, the difference in portrayal of the Broken Isles between W3 and Legion is also a result of the time travel - the occurrence of the two races and the involvement of the trio.
  • The Grand Magister in N [60] A Paladin's Soul refers to Belo'vir. This would mean that he survived the wave of Scourge, only to be taken down by Arthas moments later.
  • WoW is not a true projection of areas (as confirmed with Ironforge).
    • Due to the description of "a small jungle village on the shore of the Echo Isles", which doesn't seem to appear in the game. The Echo Isles are much bigger (closer to W3?)
  • Onyxia and Sapphiron were a thing.

Future points

The reason Vormu went back in time to the Black Temple was to stop an unknown entity messing up the Illidari battleplans for the incoming assault on Mardum but she came too late to stop it. Similarly, the reason she sent agents back to Ulduar was because the titan locks holding Yogg-Saron in place were tampered with and artificially aged in order to release the Old God early.

Caverns of Time

Introduction
Story of Thrall

The orc known as Thrall came from unlikely and humble beginnings. He was found as a baby among the lifeless bodies of slaughtered orcs, including his parents, after an attack by human soldiers. Aedalas Blackmoore, the officer who discovered and adopted him, decided to raise Thrall as a gladiator. He brought Thrall to his fortress of Durnholde Keep, which was being used as an orc internrnent camp.

Thrall developed both superior fighting skills as well as a brilliant strategic mind during his upbringing at Dumholde. He befriended a human woman, Taretha Foxton, who aided him in a daring escape plan. The walls of Durnholde proved insufficient to hold one with Thrall's abilities and resourcefulness— he escaped to find his tru calling, that of Warchief of trE Horde.

Story of Medivh

The Prophet. The Keeper of Secrets. The Last Guardian of Tirisfal. The mighty sorcerer Medivh was known by these and other names, which is fitüng as no single name can encapsulate the significance of his life and deeds to the history of Azeroth. He was corrupted and used by the Demonbrd Sargeras to open the Dark Portal, which allowed the Orcs to invade Azeroth — and was subsequently defeated by his own apprentice, Khadgar.

Even the death of his mortal body didnt prevent him from playing a key role in the Battle of Mount Hyjal. In the guise of a mysterious prophet, he guided Thrall and Jaina, along with Tyrande Whisperwind, to marshal their forces in an effort to defeat the Burning Legion. After this victory, which preserved the tnntinued existence of Azeroth, Medivh vanished to places unknown.

Alternate story

  • Based on the MoP cinematic, Chen's role in MoP should have been about bringing peace between the Alliance & Horde, bringing another layer for the character.
  • During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, known demons that were left unused infiltrated Teldrassil and destroyed it. Dragon Aspects were also involved in defending it but were unsuccessful.
  • The Blood War starts because of the battles in Silithus: The Wound.
