The master[1][2] is an unknown being who leads the ones who want to kill the bronze dragon Chromie.
All that is certain is that in the near future, they have ordered four assassins to kill her at Wyrmrest Temple at the same time. They have also ordered others from the past to kill Chromie during that period.

- It is hinted that "the master" is someone known to adventurers, as their handwriting is described as "strangely familiar".[3]

- Before the revelation of Murozond, the Infinite dragonflight's leader was only referred to as "the master" by the Epoch Hunter. When Aeonus gained a dungeon journal entry, it gave their leader the title "Master of the Infinite Dragonflight".
- A fan theory is that "the master" is the adventurer in the future or Salandria / Dornaa. The
[Scribbled Ravings] mention elementals and demons. - In Hearthstone, the expansion Kobolds & Catacombs introduced Chronomancer Inara who not only claimed to have outfoxed the Bronze dragonflight but when she activates her hero power, she says: She who controls time, controls the infinite.
