Kang's monastery

Okay, this is weird. A temple is shown in this Chronicle picture, but this event happened long before Kang built his monastery. The Chronicle of Ages mentions Kang's monastery several times, as "its walls being built during the Pandaren Rebellion." Later, it also mentions that "The monastery atop Kun-Lai had changed over the years. What had once been the only refuge for free minds was now the training grounds for the most dedicated fighters in the land." (likely meant the Shado-Pan) Not sure what to think of it, but neither Chronicle 1 nor The Chronicle of Ages directly say that the Temple of the White Tiger is Kang's monastery.

In The Burdens of Shaohao, we see a temple that Shaohao visited, and it isn't said which one, but given that Xuen was there it made sense to think it was the Temple of the White Tiger. This seems to be confirmed In Vol'jin: Shadows of the Horde, where Taran says that Shaohao trapped the sha at the temples across Pandaria, giving an example of the Sha of Doubt in the Temple of the Jade Serpent. However, dungeon journals for the Sha bosses in Kun-Lai say that "the sha escaped from the Shado-pan Monastery in Kun-Lai Summit."

Back when Chronicle 1 came out, a speculation section - about the monastery built by Kang possibly being the Temple of the White Tiger - was added here. The speculation was then removed, and a third user then re-added Kang's monastery being into the intro paragraph, and it remained there.

Based on all this, can we say that Kang' monastery is the Temple of the White Tiger and not the Shado-Pan Monastery?

Edit: Vol'jin: Shadows of the Horde also mentions a story that Taran was told to be true about the Peak of Serenity area and that "No mogu would visit, leaving the way open for us to gather and plan and train to overthrow them. Here we were unseen because they never thought to look for us.” This could, possibly, refer to Kang building the monastery there.--HordeRace bloodelf male.jpg Mordecay (talk) 14:37, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

I guess. --Ryon21 (talk) 14:34, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
If Kang's monastery is the Temple of the WT, where does the Chronicle pic fit into this, then? --HordeRace bloodelf male.jpg Mordecay (talk) 14:39, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
I mean, it's Blizzard, so... But either way, having three "hidden" temples in Kun-Lai would surely be confusing, so maybe they mixed them and blizzconsistency struck again. I wouldn't know how to properly answer this. --Ryon21 (talk) 14:44, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Likely blizzconsistency, yeah. Re-reading Shadows of the Horde, it also directly says that: "Vol'jin took a look back toward the Peak of Serenity. There the first monks had trained in secret, their privacy guaranteed because the mogu were too lazy to climb to the top." This means that Kang's monastery should be there. Lmao. Don't know what do to with the content of the Temple of the White Tiger page now, tho. --HordeRace bloodelf male.jpg Mordecay (talk) 14:51, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
