This article contains lore taken from Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal, the manuals, and/or official bonus maps.

The Channel Islands is an archipelago in Baradin Bay, located just south of the Hillsbrad Foothills and east of Gilneas. The island of Zul'Dare is part of these isles.[1]

After establishing order in the coastal regions of Lordaeron, Admiral Proudmoore advised in striking the Horde base hidden in the region of the Channel Islands. Scouts managed to locate the outpost in Zul'Dare and the Alliance military sent forces to destroy it.[1][2]

Speculation

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.
  • Purgation Isle on the coast of Hillsbrad Foothills, and the Bite off the coast of Gilneas may be part of these islands.
  • The Channel part of the name probably refers to the waters between the mainland and the island of Kul Tiras. In Warcraft II, the Channel Islands and Zul'Dare are located between Kul Tiras in the south, and the southwestern shores of Lordaeron in the north, which include the township of Hillsbrad. Due to the different placements of Kul Tiras in later sources, this can no longer be the case, unless the Channel Islands are also moved like the rest of isles in Baradin Bay.
