The Irontide Raiders (or simply the Irontide, and apparently under the business moniker of Sweete Enterprises of Freehold[1]) are a ruthless pirate band based out of Freehold in Tiragarde Sound. The original members of the Irontide Raiders were leftover from a crew once captained by Flynn Fairwind and his first mate Harlan Sweete. The two had a falling out after a messy job and Flynn lost all taste for freebooting, so just disappeared one day. Meanwhile Harlan took the nastiest of the crew and formed the Irontide Raiders.[2] Harlan then went around Freehold forcing smaller crews to pledge loyalty.[3]
History
Dragonflight
Some time after the discovery of the Dragon Isles, on a pirate ship in the Shrouded Coast of the Forbidden Reach, a book mentioned that the Irontide Raiders are welcomed to sail under the flag of Nightsquall's crew, who aims to build the biggest pirate fleet Azeroth has ever known. The volunteers are invited to travel to the Dragon Isles and to plunder its secrets in the name of Dread Admiral Nightsquall.

Notes
- The Irontide Raiders won't recruit people that are not cruel or heartless enough.[4] As such, an Irontide Recruiter tried to discourage Liam from becoming a pirate.[5]
- A unique ship is seen attacking Daelin's Gate at the back of their fleet, but it is never visited or seen again after those quests. It may be Dread Captain Lockwood's ship.
