Millhouse "Jerimus" Manastorm is a wily gnome mage that first appeared as a prisoner trapped in the Arcatraz wing of Tempest Keep. In order to acquire  [The Tempest Key], formerly required to unlock The Eye wing of Tempest Keep, players must enter Arcatraz on heroic mode, and make sure that Millhouse survives until the death of Harbinger Skyriss. He is released during the second wave of the Harbinger Skyriss encounter.

Later on, Manastorm appeared scheming with the Twilight's Hammer in Deepholm and yet later in the Brawler's Guild in Stormwind City and Orgrimmar as an opponent. If the player upgrades an inn to Level 2 at their Tier 2 garrison on Draenor, Manastorm will show up with a dungeon quest, unlocking him as a follower. He plays a prominent role in the Tirisgarde Campaign.

Millhouse is married to Millificent Manastorm, with whom he has a love-hate relationship. The two are fought in the Manastorms encounter in the Other Side.

Background

Trapped in Arcatraz

Bc icon.gif This section concerns content related to The Burning Crusade.

Millhouse escaping the Arcatraz.

While the Arcatraz is a place of imprisonment for dangerous beings the naaru encountered, Millhouse, in fact, was merely a victim of circumstance - a stowaway who was in the wrong naaru vessel at the wrong time.[2] It is unknown how he actually got there, but his curiosity over the mysterious naaru and his knowledge of the arcane may have played a major part in his entry.

Cataclysm

Cata-Logo-Small.png This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

Millhouse in the Stonecore.

Following the Cataclysm, Millhouse returned as a member of the Twilight's Hammer cult. It was perhaps his proximity to Skyriss—a servant of the Old Gods—that led to him joining the cult.[3] He was involved in their operations in Deepholm,[4] and appeared numerous times in the Stonecore. He had apparently acquired a new spell called "Impending Doooooom!", but its effects were unknown as he was interrupted by the arrival of Corborus. He and his Twilight's Hammer loyalists were knocked over the precipice and was suspected to have been killed in the impact.

Mists of Pandaria

Mists-Logo-Small.png This section concerns content related to Mists of Pandaria.

Having somehow survived his fall, Millhouse joined the Brawler's Guild as a gladiator. Apparently, the Stonecore was merely a setback.

Warlords of Draenor

If the adventurer reached the Level 2 inn, Millhouse showed up on the second floor, and after quickly assuring them that he had changed, he asked for help in collecting a piece of equipment for a humanitarian project he was working on. After helping him out, he joined the growing fort as a follower.[5]

Legion

Legion-Logo-Small.png This section concerns content related to Legion.

During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, Millhouse was searching for the Nightborne Soulstone within the Arcway tunnels near Felsoul Hold,[6] only to be captured by the Burning Legion. When the Archmage of the Tirisgarde, accompanied by Kalecgos, came searching for a corrupted Archmage Vargoth within the tunnels, they freed Millhouse and joined forces.[7] Eventually, the two found Vargoth within the tunnels, but the possessed mage managed to escape. Afterward, Millhouse joined the Tirisgarde to aid in their search for the Soulstone.[8]

Eventually, the Tirisgarde succeeded in rescuing Vargoth and managed to use the Soulstone to imprison Kathra'natir, the dreadlord possessing the archmage. During the following celebration, Millhouse tried to claim his prize, only for Khadgar to refuse him, promising instead to aid him in search of other artifacts. Millhouse then ran off, exclaiming "You're not my friends anymore!".[9] He remained a Champion of the Archmage, however.

He later sent an image of himself to the Violet Hold battling with the adventurers against his wife, Millificent Manastorm who managed to escape.

Shadowlands

Shadowlands-Icon-Inline.png This section concerns content related to Shadowlands.

At an unknown point in time, Millhouse made a deal with the loa Bwonsamdi for some of his mojo for his experiments.

When he and his wife were confronted by adventurers, he instantly realized that the loa had sent them to recover his mojo, which caused his wife to become outraged that he had made a deal with Bwonsamdi too. In response, Millhouse called her out on her hypocrisy, and they subsequently fought Bwonsamdi's agents. After being beaten, he surrendered and declared that he would prefer Millificent over the mojo, an admission that deeply touched Millificent.

With the mojo in their possession, Bwonsamdi's agents returned to the loa, while the Manastorms affirmed their love towards one another.[10]

Millhouse in the Duck Cave.

Alongside Millificent Manastorm, Millhouse was found inside the Duck Cave of the Upper Frostlands, in the Azure Span. As a Duck Expert Extraordinaire, Millhouse's Manastorming For Beginners tome started the mage-only quest N Mage [10-70] Best Spell Ever, which awarded  [Tome of Polymorph: Duck].

Soridormi later revealed that while the Manastorms romance was explosive, it was sparked by a flame that was quite small. However, due to Millhouse having an uncharacteristic crisis of confidence, she sent adventurers into the past to help bring them together. After they successfully helped him build up the confidence to approach Millificent, they returned to Soridormi who declared that they had kept events as they should be and helped two people love.[11]

Millhouse Manastorm.

After the fall of Dalaran, Millhouse could be found in the Kindling Parlor in Dornogal, seemingly having lost his clothes over a match of Hearthstone against Valeera Sanguinar.

That's simple! I've discovered the ultimate weapon of mass destruction: an organic, bipedal, and extremely adorable killing machine: duck!

Why are you bowing like that? I mean, I am brilliant but... oh. No! I meant ducks! Like my friends here. Quack, quack?

Nevermind. In any case, I'm here to study them.
