A gnome on a Swift Zhevra.

Swift Zhevra is available in the Trading Post for 550 [Trader's Tender]. It first appeared in November 2023.

Mount Journal

Zhevras are rarely used as mounts in Azeroth due to their stubborn nature and tendency to bite.

Mail

The mount was originally mailed in-game to the selected character by Master Handler Sylvester. With the item is a rather unique letter:

A Swift Zhevra

TO: <name>

FROM: Nesingwary Exotic Mount Supply Co. LLC

CONTENTS OF CRATE:

- One (1) Zhevra

- One (1) Zhevra Saddle

- Four (4) Zhevra Hooves

- Two (2) Spare Zhevra Hooves

- DO NOT OBSTRUCT AIR HOLES -

Notes

  • It was originally the first mount that players could earn through the Recruit-A-Friend program. Prior to 27 April 2010, it was possible to earn this mount as a reward bonus of the Recruit-A-Friend system, once the recruit had bought World of Warcraft and 60 days of game time. This reward bonus was then replaced by the  [X-53 Touring Rocket]. On 12 November 2013, the mount was available through the RAF program once again along with other rewards up until 11 June 2019.
  • The original mail description mentions Zhevra hooves which is a reference to the quest, H [13] The Zhevra.

Patch changes

  • Dragonflight Patch 10.1.7 (2023-09-05): Now a Trading Post item.
  • Battle for Azeroth Hotfix (2019-06-11): Removed with the retirement of the Mists of Pandaria RAF system.
  • Mists of Pandaria Hotfix (2013-11-12): Re-added in the new iteration of the RAF system.
  • Wrath-Logo-Small.png Hotfix (2010-04-27): Time is running out for those who wish to claim their Zhevra, as the launch of the X-53 Touring Rocket is now scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, April 27! If you've fulfilled all of the Recruit-A-Friend requirements necessary to claim a mount now but choose not to claim the Zhevra, you will be able to claim the X-53 Touring Rocket instead once it launches. Sounds like they're firing it up for a final test run now...
Replaced by the  [X-53 Touring Rocket] mount.
